The room was a bit small, but that's common in Japan. It was very clean, and there were self-service currency exchange and vending machines in the hallway. Breakfast was quite good, and most of the guests were tourists. The location is right across from Kumamoto Castle, making it very convenient for visiting the castle, though it's a bit of a distance from the main shopping streets. The male receptionists were very enthusiastic, while the female ones seemed a bit cool.

The room is spacious with two beds and a great view. Great amenities, I especially like the instant noodles machine and the massage chair! The coffees machine has got a tea capsule which is really refreshing and nice. It is a short walk to the city centre but very close to the shrine. Remember to book for 2 persons, as I only booked for 1 and pay for another at the reception, the staffs are very nice though.

Great location near Kumamoto Castle, walking distance to main shopping areas. Loved the view of the castle from our room especially when it was lighted up at night.

Delicious breakfast buffet. HOWEVER, I don't know why I need to pay CARPARK FEE for staying in the hotel? Should it be FREE as a service for hotel guests.

I had a pleasant stay at KKR Hotel Kumamoto. The room was quite spacious and very clean. The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of Kumamoto Castle. From the hotel restaurant, you can enjoy a distant view of the back of the castle, which was still quite nice during breakfast. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay and would recommend it to others.
