Nabalu Kundasang

I was on a self-driving trip, and I wouldn't have booked this hotel if it wasn't a stop along the way. Even though it's in the mountains, the hygiene was quite poor, and the decor was a bit run-down. I didn't get a full shot of the bathroom and ceiling, but the entire ceiling was moldy. The towels were yellowed, and the pillows were yellowed and black inside. The room had a strong musty smell, and the water heater wasn't even lukewarm. It was truly an indescribable experience!

The views are absolutely stunning. The location isn't far from the city either. The rooms are also nice, just a bit old-fashioned. But still perfectly usable. If I come back to Kundasang, I'll definitely stay at this hotel again. Their restaurant also has a good variety of food.

The location is great, right by the road and easy to find. There are many farmers selling durians along the way. Breakfast offers a good selection of both Chinese and Western options. There's a small town nearby with restaurants, so you don't need to drive. For being in the middle of nowhere, this hotel is quite good. It's also not far from Maragang Hill.
