Grand Hyatt Kunming

The location is super convenient, right in the city center. You can directly access the adjacent Plaza 66 from the ground floor or the third floor, which offers various dining and shopping options. We were upgraded to a deluxe room, which was very spacious. Overall, it was a great stay.

A truly comfortable experience! Isla provided excellent service, meticulously preparing everything I needed each day. Overall, my trip to Kunming was very pleasant. The hotel's location is fantastic; getting anywhere is convenient, whether by subway or taxi. It's also connected to Hang Lung Plaza, making shopping, dining, and strolling around very easy. The room view is great, and the design is nice too. It would be even better if the bed were a bit larger!

Loved it! Check-in was super quick. The room was brand new and very spacious and elegant, and the bedding suited me perfectly—I had a great night's sleep! The Balmain shower gel and shampoo smelled amazing, and there's a walkway on the 3rd floor that connects right to the Plaza 66 next door. Absolutely wonderful ❤️ Definitely staying here again next time!

They say you have to try the Grand Hyatt when you come to Kunming, and this time I stayed there. The room had good natural light and was spacious enough. The bed was just the right firmness for a comfortable sleep, and the air conditioning was quiet. It was very comfortable for a family vacation. We had dinner at the Chinese restaurant, and the food was good, but unfortunately, some of the mushrooms were off the menu. I'll have to come again next time~

The location is right next to Hang Lung Plaza, and you can directly access Hang Lung from the third or fourth floor. Hang Lung has popular spots like BA and Shang Zuo, making it very convenient overall. It's also not too far from other attractions in Kunming.

The hotel is in a great location—very convenient and close to all the downtown attractions, yet surprisingly quiet. There is a walkway directly connected to Plaza 66, and Shangyi Street right downstairs has plenty of chic cafes and restaurants. The room was indeed quite small, but the attention to detail in the design was impressive; even the kettle lid was intricately crafted, shaped like the ancient Tiger and Ox Table artifact. Breakfast was a bit mediocre. The selection was limited to begin with, offering only one or two local specialties. There was a long line for the rice noodles, and the Erkuai (rice cake) was nowhere near as good as what you'd get from the street stalls downstairs. The bakery and pastries had no highlights at all. On top of that, the layout of the breakfast restaurant makes it feel chaotic when it gets crowded... That said, the service was quite good!

This trip to Yunnan with my mother for her birthday, we traveled from northern Yunnan all the way to Kunming. We chose Grand Hyatt Kunming out of a fondness for the Hyatt brand. After more than ten days of non-stop travel, we were physically and mentally exhausted, and what we longed for most was a quiet, undisturbed space. The moment we entered the room, there was an instant sense of peaceful seclusion. Everything we needed was already prepared in the room, allowing us to settle down and rest comfortably, and all the fatigue from the journey disappeared. Special thanks to Emily (who is super beautiful!) for her thoughtful advance coordination. The communication throughout was smooth, providing a comfortable and perfect end to this long trip. Next time in Kunming, it will still be Grand Hyatt!

My stay at Grand Hyatt Kunming exceeded my expectations! The hotel service was thoughtful and meticulous. I'd especially like to commend Emily for her warm and attentive check-in process. I was pleasantly surprised with a complimentary suite upgrade and breakfast. The room was spacious, and the furnishings were high-quality. The location next to Spring City 66 makes it very convenient for getting around. Every detail was carefully considered, making me feel right at home. I'll definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Kunming. Highly recommended!
