NAPHUBS Sleep Cabin in Kunming Changshui Airport

I didn't sleep very well and it wasn't a restful night, but it's right inside the airport, so it's perfect if you have an early flight. You get to enjoy the beautiful sounds of planes taking off and landing. Even without air conditioning, it wasn't hot. The bathrooms and showers are shared. Overall, it's very close and convenient, so you can judge the comfort level for yourself.

As someone who often struggles with sleep, I had a very comfortable night here, which was incredibly helpful for my early morning flight the next day. The front desk staff, especially the young lady, was exceptionally kind and helpful. It was a great stay.

This was my first time visiting Shangri-La, and this hotel truly made my trip unforgettable. What surprised me most was that it wasn't just 'staying in a hotel'; it genuinely felt like I was living right in the heart of the grassland scenery. Outside my room, there were vast grasslands and distant snow-capped mountains. Every morning, as soon as I opened the curtains, I was greeted by a sea of clouds and stunning mountain views – that sense of tranquility is truly hard to describe. Especially on a clear day, the sunlight on the mountains was incredibly beautiful, making it hard to ever want to leave the room. The small animals at the hotel were also a huge bonus! There were little lambs, black horses, white yaks, and more. You could even get corn from the front desk every day to feed them. For animal lovers, this was such a joy and truly made me feel completely relaxed and healed. I also have to give a special shout-out to the staff, especially Chamin. She was incredibly warm and genuine, without that formal, distant feeling of typical service; instead, she was friendly and approachable, like a friend. During my stay, she helped me a lot and proactively checked in on how I was doing, which brought a lot of peace of mind during a high-altitude trip. She chatted with me, introduced me to local culture, and even encouraged me to successfully climb Yila Grassland – truly an unforgettable memory for my first time in Shangri-La. Basong and Jiangcai were also consistently very friendly, always greeting me with a smile whenever I passed the front desk, which made me feel incredibly welcome. The hotel breakfast offered a rich variety, with both Chinese and Western options, and the taste was much better than I expected. In the evening, you could also experience yak butter tea and tsampa, which is great for anyone wanting to immerse themselves in ******* culture. My favorite spot, though, was the room's balcony. Sitting there in the evening, feeling the breeze and looking at the mountains, truly gave me a sense that 'time slowed down.' For those who usually live at a fast pace, this place is perfect for unwinding and healing. If I ever come back to Shangri-La, I would definitely choose to stay here again.

Right next to airport security, so no need to rush or hassle, which is super convenient. It's a bit small though; might be tough with a lot of luggage. They provide eye masks and disposable toiletries.
