Mercure Kunshan High-tech Vientiane Hui Hotel Reviews

We always stay at this hotel when visiting friends in Kunshan. It is conveniently located to the places we always visit. The service is excellent as always with warm and friendly staff. It was our second stay in less than 2 months. We like that most places are within walking distance, and the drop off and pickup by didi is conveniently located. We will be visiting again soon to celebrate an important event and will definitely be staying here once again.

So annoying! Every time I check in, I have to leave my phone number, and then after I check out, someone calls me asking for a good review. The hotel itself is quite good, and I've always booked this place. But if a customer has left their number or reviewed once, you should really keep a record internally. Getting calls every single time asking for good reviews really turns me off.

Room is relatively small, but the hotel did a great job to make the space super functional. Hotel is very clean and smoke-free (very different from the norm of hotels in China). This location is convenient, about 7 minutes walks to one of the biggest malls in Kunshan. Breakfast is quite good with a few Western and Chinese choices.

This was our second trip in 3 months. The staff at the reception when signing us in and clarifying our passports were quiet rude this time. They were confused and kept insisting our passports were expired. They kept saying silly things in Chinese assuming we didn't understand. I am living in china for 6 Years and last time I have been home was Feb 2023. They kept reading this date and saying it was wrong even though it clearly shows I entered china again after a holiday on the date. Despite this we still enjoyed the stay. I must applaud the staff at breakfast. They were friendly at all times and spoke English quite well. Always smiling unlike those ladies at the reception. We wanted to book in again in two weeks but may re think this.

Room was quite clean and amenities refilled on daily basis. Staff provided good sevice and was very helpful. The hotel breakfast had a great selection.

I took the train from Shanghai to Kunshan. Need to take a taxi which is cheap to the hotel from the train station (about 12-15 minutes). The hotel room is very spacious, the toilet is very nice and clean with a heated toilet seat. The breakfast choices is alright. The hotel is about 5-10 min walk to a shop center. There is a convenience store (Family Mart) beside the hotel thus you can get snacks, coffee and drinks easily. Overall I had a good experience staying here, will definitely consider staying in Mercure Kunshan again if I were to have business here.

The bed was very comfortable, and the stay was definitely price-worthy. However, the cleanliness of the common areas left much to be desired. The hallway and elevator were not well-maintained, which was disappointing. Overall, the room itself was good, but the cleanliness of the shared spaces could be improved.

The hotel itself was nice and modern, but the room was a bit smelly, someone smoked there before. Also for this kind of hotel I would expect English speaking personnel at the reception desk. But all in all fine.
