Ooedo Onsen Monogatari Unazuki Grand Hotel（Old:Yukai Resort Premium Unazuki Grand Hotel）

The food was delicious!

Accommodation in Unazuki Onsen. The town is an old hot spring village, and the overall atmosphere is showing its age, and the hotel reflects that. After breakfast, we took the Kurobe Gorge Railway.

We booked a room with an indoor hot tub, but it was actually just a regular bathtub. The hotel is a bit old, but it does have natural hot springs. My skin felt really smooth after soaking. We booked it because a lot of reviews mentioned the good breakfast, but there wasn't much good food available. Besides the hot springs, there's nothing else worth recommending. The breakfast was incomparable to the hotel we stayed at in Toyama the day before.

This hotel is part of the Oedo Onsen Monogatari group, and its reasonable accommodation prices are definitely reassuring. Its proximity to Unazuki Station makes it incredibly convenient for taking the sightseeing train. The buffet offered a rich variety of dishes, all prepared using local ingredients. I was very satisfied with both dinner and breakfast, especially the yellowtail, which was absolutely delicious. I stayed in a Japanese-style room, which was very comfortable and provided a restful night's sleep. This place is highly recommended for families with children, offering a large ball pit, an inflatable slide area, and an arcade.

Facilities: The rooms are a bit dated. If you have high expectations for room amenities, I'd suggest looking elsewhere. There's a lounge with gaming equipment on the second floor. Both meals are buffet-style, and for dinner, you can order some additional local specialties. Overall, the food was decent. The men's outdoor bath is quite small, just enough for a quick dip. Cleanliness: Acceptable. Environment: Excellent. Service: The front desk staff's English is very poor, so be prepared with a translation app, but their service was otherwise good.

The facilities were a bit dated. While the women's communal bath was excellent, the men's was quite basic, and it's a shame they don't rotate the baths. Our tatami room, however, was nice. The location is excellent, being very close to the station, and there's also parking available for those driving. Dinner was just average and not particularly delicious, despite a wide variety of options. A significant disappointment was that all the fruit offered was frozen; I'd strongly suggest providing fresh fruit instead. Breakfast was also just okay, and frankly, I would recommend skipping it if it's an optional add-on.
