The staff at the service counter were very matter-of-fact. The hotel was nicely cleaned. Check-out is at 10am, so 11am would have been better.

The hotel is located in Kurume Ichibangai and is about an 8-minute walk from Nishitetsu Kurume Station. Although the hotel is old fashion and the decoration is old-fashioned, the overall hygiene and service are good. The hotel also has self-service laundry and drying services. Washing is 300 yen for 30 minutes, and drying is 100 yen for 30 minutes. The prices are reasonable. The room size is good enough for us to put two large boxes of 27 and 28 inches respectively and still have enough space to move around. However, the hotel is a 30-minute walk from JR Kurume Station, so it will be quite far if you take the JR. 

When I first checked in, the attitude of the front desk staff made me feel uncomfortable, and the room was not very clean.

Kurume Washington Hotel is right next to Nishitetsu Kurume Station, with convenient transportation. There is a bus to JR Kurume Station at the hotel entrance. There is a shopping street outside the back door of the hotel, as well as noodle shops and restaurants. The hotel staff warmly welcomed us.

It's an older hotel at first glance, everything is standard, and the facilities are older. There is a notice in the lobby saying that there is no free breakfast, and the Japanese breakfast is 1250 yen per serving.

For this price and this city, there is actually nothing to complain about. It’s just that the platform clearly stated that there are paid parking spaces. When we arrived, the hotel lobby told us that the hotel did not provide parking services. I was a little angry and had to park my car elsewhere.

The location is within walking distance of Nishitetsu Kurume Station, and there are many lively places to eat nearby. The facilities were also very clean, and I thought it was reasonable as the amenities were placed in the lobby and you just took as much as you needed. The only downside would be that you could hear the sounds of daily life (running water) from the next room. I would recommend staying here.
