Effective charging place, over 100 kWh, for electric car is missing. There is only 22 kWh place. Location is good.

Place to be for a skier The room was a great place for a skier, the slopes are just outside of the door! Simple but clean, very nice staff!

Great accommodation and centrally located. We stayed as a family in a 2 bedroom apartment and it came equipped with full kitchen, lovely seating area, double shower and sauna. The views from the apartment were amazing and with it being so central getting to all local amenities was very easy

Looked nice but not the beds promised It said that it had beds for 8 and we put we have 7. It showed 8 regular twin beds when we booked, but got there and there was only 6 twin and a very uncomfortable sofa bed that definitely could not sleep 2 I asked about it but they said the room technically sleeps 8 and wouldn’t move us. Overall clean and spacious. Both the showers are in one bathroom with sauna and washing. Machine and toilet all in one space, so the setup is not ideal for multiple people needing to shower quickly. The other 2 bathrooms were just half baths. No one is available on location during the evening, so when we needed help turning the sauna on, no one could help us. Dishwasher didn’t clean.i asked for coffee filters and was told we have to buy our own which seems weird from all the places we’ve stayed.

Ruka Finland was a great location, we went with Crystal Ski. Alleged transfer was 25 mins it took us well over an hour. Also had to wait at the airport as our coach was still being used by others waiting to get in to the airport. Very small airport and limited capacity with crystal bringing so many people in a small time frame put a strain on the airport. That said all the airport staff were very helpful and friendly. Crystal communications are poor. Welcome letter had different information than what we were told. Even got a text that contradicted the letter and that was sent late. We went to the welcome talk and again got different info that should have been passed on arrival. That was the last we saw of Crystal reps until departure. The apartment was great sauna was great after skiing and room very good. Really great getting into the room with the code. Food was awful. Do not do half-board. Self-catering is the way. Evening meal first night was told to order off the menu. This was wrong and there was a hot (was not hot, lukewarm at best) and cold buffet. Pudding was frozen still one night. Buffet was out long before we got to it and you could tell. That said one or two mains were nice the salmon and lasagna. The fish on Friday was bad. Plenty of places to eat, but not cheep, pizzeria lukewarm was a short walk out of the village and was very nice. Skiing is for beginners but was still enjoyed the skiing. Wind was an issue and the gondola was closed most of the week. Night skiing was also fun.

Second visit to Ruka and stay at this hotel booked through crystal. Location is brilliant. Meters from the gondola and all the shops and restaurants. Rooms are clean tidy and perfect set up with fridge microwave hob kettle etc, everything but an oven in the 2 bed studio. Welcomed the bath and sauna after a ski. Only real criticisms are that the boot room is a bit tight and whilst there is a bar downstairs, there is no real reception area. Bar and restaurant is western themed and a little dark as a result. Breakfast was basic but nice. Could do with more than an a two slot toaster serving the whole restaurant. If I was staying in Ruka village again I would probably comeback here. Kept checking the web cam each night and saw the northern lights twice from the top of slope 6 behind the gondola, Homemade ring doughnuts from the cafe in the centre of town are not to be missed
