Ibis Sharq

Nice and clean hotel. Public free parking in front of hotel. English speaking staff at reception. Good reasonable breakfast.

I had a fantabulous stay at Ibis Hotel Sharq. The location was great and at the central of the city, close to transport links. The room was clean and well maintained. Housekeeping was fantastic too. On my first night, the food I ordered from the restaurant was overly salted and I complained. Come and see how all the staff were apologising and going above normal to ensure such never repeated itself. They made it up to me by offering me a free lunch later. Not only that, all the restaurant staff were so nice and polite, always welcoming me with smiles and asking what they could do to make my stay more enjoyable. Special thanks to these restaurant staff: Lawrence Hung Chef Ahmed Dinar Kamlesh Ibrahim It was a home away from home experience for me, courtesy of all the above staff. The food was delicious and I had a lot of Options to choose from. No boring moment at all. Kudos to the staff at the reception too. Definitely, I will be looking for Ibis hotels going forward.

The location is decent, but you’ll still need a taxi to get almost everywhere — thankfully, taxis are inexpensive in Kuwait. You have to request amenities, which is a bit inconvenient, but the staff will provide them when asked. There is free self-service laundry available, though you need to bring or buy your own detergent. Breakfast is good with a wide variety of options. On my last day, there was no hot water in my bathroom, so I had to request that it be fixed. Staff are nice and helpful.

The room was reasonably big and spacious. There's a giant window that gives an okay view of Kuwait city. Cleanliness is also on par except for the fact that I found some stains on the bath robes. The another negative is that the body soap and shampoo ran out in the first night and after I asked the counter regarding it, I just got a piece of bath soap instead.

It’s a nice, clean, and good quality hotel. The staff is very kind and helpful. I had an amazing view from the window. The location is good as well, close to a bus stop, however, if you’re in Kuwait for sightseeing, you need to move around the city a lot anyway as the distances are quite big between the attractions.

The location is great, the hotel is clean, they just needs to increase the parking space.

The guys at reception, especially Mohammad were very professional, helpful and personable. No request was ever too much for them amd they made every effort to make me comfortable. The restaurant staff were also very welcoming and professional though the breakfast was not anything fancy (but I suppose for a budget hotel, that was not altogether unexpected)
