The room is well-equipped, and the blackout curtains work perfectly. The staff are highly professional and can communicate in English. I often returned to the hotel late, but a quick call to the front desk always got my requests promptly fulfilled.

This hotel is conveniently located near Kyoto City Hall in Kawaramachi Sanjo, right in the heart of the Kawaramachi shopping district, with the Kamo River just behind it. The breakfast was a bit average, requiring a wait, and the selection of dishes was limited. However, the room size is considered large for Japan.

The hotel's location is perfect, right in Shijo. It's about a 10-minute walk to Takashimaya or Daimaru. The hotel is very new and the rooms are definitely spacious for Japan! The bed seems to be two put together, making it super large. Great value for money.

The service was really mediocre. I specifically requested a room on the 9th floor a month in advance because it's near the Executive Lounge, meaning I wouldn't have to go up and down floors. However, they completely ignored my request, and when I asked, they simply said the hotel was full. When I checked in at night, I felt the front desk staff weren't very friendly either. The lobby is quite nice, and while the food at the Executive Lounge isn't extensive, the ambiance is decent. If the price difference isn't too much, definitely go for an Executive Lounge room. The room also had an unpleasant smell. The location is alright. Overall, I wouldn't recommend staying for an extended period; it's more suitable for a one-night stopover.

Excellent hotel, would definitely stay here again. The rooms are very spacious and bright, and the location is super convenient. You can easily walk to Takashimaya, Ichizawa Shinzaburo, and the Kamo River – it's just so handy. The only downside was the breakfast, which wasn't very good. So, you could opt for a room without breakfast and eat out, as there are plenty of convenient options nearby.

An old five-star hotel, a bit disappointing. The transportation is quite convenient, right across from the subway exit. However, the executive lounge is terrible. There are no matching dishes, and we had to queue every day for three consecutive days. Absolutely no service. When a dish ran out, it took ages to refill. A bit outrageous and disappointing.

New is always better. I'll definitely stay here again next time.

The hotel's location is fantastic – super close to both subway and tram stations, all within a 10-minute walk. It's also just a few minutes from the Kamo River, perfect for an after-dinner stroll. There are tons of great restaurants nearby, including some famous 'Hyakumeiten' (top 100) spots. The staff are all able to communicate in English, and the breakfast was quite good too.

Traveling with my parents, I thought having dinner at the hotel would be a convenient option to avoid hassle, but in reality, you absolutely shouldn't book dinner here. There's nothing edible. Seriously, do not book dinner. I booked the Executive Floor and was given an 8th-floor room with a view of a rooftop, no scenery at all. I won't be staying at this hotel again.
