I really appreciated being able to pre-fill my check-in information online; it saved a lot of time and was very convenient. The front desk staff were also very friendly and helpful. They're eco-conscious here, so you pick up the amenities you need before heading to your room. Breakfast can be added later for about 1700 yen. The room was calm and quiet, and I wasn't bothered by any noise. The slippers weren't disposable, but they did provide insoles.

Excellent location, the subway is nearby, as well as a river, park, benches, and a store. The view from the room was amazing.

This hotel has many advantages.
First and foremost, the service attitude is absolutely fantastic. The staff were incredibly proactive and helpful during check-in and whenever we needed assistance.
The cleanliness was excellent. We stayed for three days, and while they didn't do a full clean every day, someone came by daily to empty the trash, replace towels, and do a quick tidy of the bathroom.
Our travel schedule was so tight that we didn't have time to enjoy the public areas, but the design looked very impressive.
The biggest surprise about the hotel was its surroundings – there were so many beautiful cherry blossoms nearby! There's a small park right next door with a few trees in stunning full bloom. A little further back is the Shimogamo River area, with more beautiful cherry blossoms lining both banks, and very few people. It's about a 15-20 minute walk to Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine.
If I had to mention a drawback, while Jujo Station offers convenient transportation, there aren't many dining options directly around it. There's a Lawson and two restaurants opposite the hotel, but for more choices, you'll need to walk about 5 minutes or so. However, it's precisely because it's not in the absolute city center that you can enjoy such a comfortable space.
Overall, it offers great value for money!

No major complaints.
It's about two subway stops from Kyoto Station on the Karasuma Line, I think? It's a bit of a walk from the station, but once you turn the corner, you can see the hotel right away. There's a Lawson nearby.
They seem to put a lot of effort into breakfast, but the dining area isn't very spacious (I bet it gets crowded in the mornings).
The hotel itself still looks new, so it's very clean.
As for amenities, I personally found the toothbrush to be surprisingly good, haha. The shower pressure is also solid. They don't provide bottled water (you can get it if you book through their official website and become a member, which also gives you a one-hour late checkout). Instead, it's the 'tap water is drinkable!' kind of deal (which is perfectly fine).
The drink selection was green tea and black tea. I think there's usually coffee too, but it wasn't available this time.
The TV isn't a smart TV, so you can't watch YouTube or anything like that.
Personally, I'd suggest things like: making the TVs smart, offering two-piece pajamas, and increasing the variety of amenities. But these aren't really complaints, as Kyoto is so enjoyable that I can have fun outside the hotel anyway.

Location is two stops from Kyoto, which isn't far, but in this direction, there's very little. Expect few choices or some walking to find a restaurant. The front desk staff were very friendly, but the service seems to end there. The rooms were not cleaned at all; initial information (once there), was that they would be cleaned every three days if you booked for that long, but I booked for four nights and the room was not cleaned once. Room was very clean on entry though.
Facilities are lacking; wouldn't really call this a 4-star hotel, more business hotel level, without cleaning or facilities.

The location is a bit far from Kiyomizu-dera, but it is near to Fushimi Inari Shrine. The facilities are quite okay, and they provide facial cleanser and toner. The room was a slight unusual smell when we first entered. It improved after running the air conditioner for a while.

The hotel is in a very convenient location, with the subway just a stone's throw away. The room was clean and new. The only downside was that the duvet was very warm, but I imagine that wouldn't be an issue on colder days :)

Ariston Hotel Kyoto Jujo | Kyoto
This hotel feels really new! There's a Lawson right across the street!
It's about a 5-10 minute walk from Jujo Station (Karasuma Line), Exit 3. After coming out, you'll see a 7-Eleven on your right. Just head left from there. If you need an elevator, use Exit 4.
For a solo traveler, the room was quite spacious [thumbs up emoji] and very convenient, quiet, and seemed clean too [thumbs up emoji].
It looks like this area is mostly residential [crying face emoji].

The hotel was clean and the front desk staff were very friendly. Although the hotel parking is paid, the staff kindly informed us that it would be cheaper to park in a nearby coin-operated parking lot. Amenities were available in the lobby for guests to pick up as needed, and there was also coffee and tea available to drink at any time. The air conditioning could be individually temperature-controlled in each room, which was a huge plus. I would definitely like to stay here again.

The receptionist was very friendly and inviting.
There was a smoking room on the top floor and the rooms were well kept and clean.
Bathroom came well equipped with all the necessasities and if needed, you can take slippers, robes, combs, hair ties, and even body lotions before entering your room.
If you want to get a good nights rest, ARISTON HOTEL is the place for you.

The breakfast was delicious with a good variety of dishes, and they even had desserts. However, there were no amenities like toner/lotion. The water pressure in the shower was good, but the air conditioning didn't seem to be very effective.

The location of the hotel was good, near to the Jujo subway station, exit 3. The carpet was an eyesore, thought it was dirty but was told it was due to some cleaning products. The hotel has the potential to improve its overall service such as offering guests with early check-in hours (one or two hours prior to the standard time); offering some refreshments or water for guest while waiting for check-in; and ensuring that rooms are clean at all time.
