I had a great stay at RIHGA Gran Kyoto Hotel. The location is extremely convenient — it’s just a short walk from Kyoto Station, which you can easily reach directly from Kansai International Airport via the Haruka Express. This made traveling with luggage very hassle-free. There are two convenience stores located near the hotel, which is perfect for quick snacks, drinks, or last-minute necessities. There’s also a shopping mall right next to the hotel, making it easy to shop, dine, or relax without having to travel far. For those driving, there are three parking lots nearby, which is very convenient and stress-free. Overall, the hotel offers excellent accessibility, great surrounding facilities, and a comfortable stay. Highly recommended!

This place was perfect, it’s the best compared to the rest of the hotels for this trip. The room were clean and spacious, comfortable beds and plenty of delicious snacks & drinks were provided for their guests. I will definitely stay here again when I’m back in Kyoto!

The location was great just 10 minutes walk from Kyoto Station East Exit.Next to a Avanti Mall that you can go to subway through underground route.Free drinks and snacks for hotel guest at lounge from 10am to 530pm. There is free luggage storage at level 1. Only thing is that room seem a bit dusty for those with sensitive nose. Bed and pillow is a bit soft for those that like firmer type.

This hotel is less than a ten-minute walk from Kyoto Station, but it's on the opposite side of Yodobashi Camera, which makes it slightly less convenient than the other side. However, a major plus is that the hotel has a public bath. The rooms are quite small, making it a bit challenging to open luggage. In the lobby, there's a self-service beverage and coffee machine, and you can even use a takeaway cup.

A very disappointing hotel stay. The room was a corner unit with no privacy, so the window shades had to remain down at all times—resulting in no natural light and a very dim atmosphere. The shades also weren’t functioning properly. The room itself was very small, although the location was convenient. The room is dusty and dirty. Customer service was poor; when we requested hot water to prepare milk for our child, the staff was unhelpful and offered multiple excuses. Overall, I did not enjoy my stay and would recommend considering other hotels, as there are plenty of options in the area.

The location of the hotel is very convenient, 2 minutes away from Kyoto station. The room and bathroom were quite spacious and very clean. They offer free coffee and tea during the afternoon.

The hotel's location, just 500 meters from Kyoto Station, is incredibly convenient. With Don Quijote and Isetan Department Store nearby, all your shopping needs are easily met. The location truly can't be beat. The hotel offers a smoking room, a public bath facility, a bar, and a restaurant. Upon check-in, guests can enjoy free soft drinks at the bar's soft drink area before 5:30 PM, and you can even take them back to your room, which is a fantastic perk. Each floor also has vending machines and ice makers, and some floors offer laundry facilities. Breakfast options are somewhat limited, but the quality is high. They provide a set meal served in a three-tiered bento box, with four small dishes on each tier; the taste is perfectly acceptable. The food is generally a mix of Japanese and Western styles, so if you're not accustomed to these cuisines, it might not be the best choice for you. The hotel rooms are a bit small, but they are compact and well-equipped. For room cleaning, you have two options: full cleaning or partial cleaning. Extremely satisfied with my stay! The hotel's location is superb, being very close to Kyoto Station, which made getting around incredibly convenient. I loved the overall quality and design of the hotel, and the wet/dry separated bathroom was a great touch. The chic drink bar also provided a lovely spot to relax and unwind for a bit. The room was quite small. The air conditioning blew directly onto both beds, making it very uncomfortable. The windows were also tiny, and there wasn't even enough space in the aisle to fully open a suitcase, which felt very cramped and claustrophobic. The laundry room was also a major letdown; I paid for two washes, and my clothes still didn't come out clean. To top it off, the washing machines didn't have a standalone spin-dry function.
