Kyoto Plaza Hotel Reviews

We came to Kyoto for three nights and checked into this wonderful hotel. It's within walking distance of a very large and bustling train station filled with shops, perfect for buying souvenirs, for example! There's also a shopping mall near the hotel, though we never made it there. We really liked the hotel itself; it's clean, cozy, and offers good service. The breakfasts are delicious and varied, with vegetables, fish, meat, and pastries 👍🏼. However, the air conditioning in the dining area is incredibly strong; everyone was freezing, and some even came down in their jackets. We wore warm hoodies and still felt cold, which was uncomfortable. Because of this, all the food was cold. The room was pleasant, and we would gladly return!

Stayed 1 night as a solo traveler. Great location near Kyoto Station—very convenient for sightseeing. Room was small but spotless and had everything I needed. Staff were friendly and helpful. Perfect for a short, comfortable stay in Kyoto.

Staff were very friendly, very very nice! Location wasn’t bad, near toji station. Room was bad, damaged, old and unclean. Staying in Japan this was our most expensive hotel and it was by far the worst. Bad value for money- disappointed :(

Overall the hotel is good. The staff is friendly and helpful. There is a AEON mall nearby with supermarket and game shop. And, convenient stores like Family Mart and Lawson is nearby as well. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who would want to stay nearby Kyoto station.

The hotel is near to the main station and main transport, it is clean and convenient.

hallways smelt of smoke a bit. would stay here again, staff were nice and room was cozy.

It is near Kyoto station, but not very near like next to the station. Although it say 10 mins, that's should be speed walking. Furniture and room a little dated. But still comfortable. Amenities are provided. Plus point is the public bath which I enjoy. Photo is the view from level 7 room 3. Oh I was given a corner room when I specifically requested no corner room when booking.. but the receptionist was very kind to accommodate my request n change room for me

About a 10min walk from Kyoto Station. Room for one in the main building was the standard business hotel (Bed, table/desk, bathroom). Also has a side building/annex but not sure of the rooms there. Has a restaurant and a large bathing place as well. Notable service that I used was the Luggage Delivery service via Kuroneko Yamato that they offered. I was able to get rid of my large suitcase that I dragged around for 2 weeks and sent it to Haneda Airport allowing me to travel light for my last week which I was super grateful for. Suitcase was safely delivered and was waiting for me at the airport too.

It's almost in between Toji Temple and Kyoto Station. Opposite is a nice shopping mall, Aeon. The hotel itself is clean, service is good. The breakfast is not great. Very convenient to take the local bus and visit tourist attractions. Overall good.

its a little walking distance from the Kyoto station but closer to the other metro station. the facility has common bath and a massage place. Its relatively clean and the stay was good.

We mainly booked it because we needed 2 beds. However, we were pleasantly surprised that it was better than expected. We enjoyed the free breakfasts and dinners that were Japanese style
