Toyoko Inn Kyoto Nijojo Minami Reviews

Room & Location was good. CHeckin on 15.00. Breakfast was great, but quite busy crowded.

Nearly Kyoto’s Castle, others need to be reached by public transport. Number room moderately roomy, there are not enough seats in the canteen.

Everything okay love eggs and prawns for breakfast mayb sausages and bacon and bread for my boyfriend he suggested it!!

The room was clean and location of the hotel was a 12-minute walk to the nearest train station. Breakfast was good.

Toyoko Inn Kyoto Wonderful location (5-minute walking till the Nijo Castle) but didn’t like the room — too dark, impossible to open the curtains, and the air conditioning didn’t work properly (it took too long for the room to get warm). The breakfast was alright, though not so varied, no fruits.

The room was clean and spacious with 2 toilets. Breakfast was decent and the staff were friendly.

This is the biggest Toyoko Inn outlet I have ever been to, with a big dining area and 3-person room which is spacious and comfortable. However, having to change room in a two-night stay was inconvenient and customer-unfriendly (it was because I requested for smoking room on Day 1 and non-smoking room on Day 2 - this was simply because I didn't have a choice at the time of booking as they are always full); I tried asking to stay in the same room but was told all rooms are full. I totally understand it's a very popular outlet and fees are reasonable; however, some quick fixing to give the customers convenient they deserver wouldn't harm/take much efforts.

Quite a walk (~10-15minutes) from the train stations. Breakfast area was cramped but they provided takeout boxes.

Very good hotel, clean and staffs are friendly and helpful. Hotel has provide good breakfast and baggage storage in locker, free of charge. I will definitely visit this hotel again in near future.

One thing I do not understand why I have to pay extra tax when I check in, The total gas I paid is 1200 Japanese yuan. Please give me the explanation.

Room was very good but breakfast was very bad. Personnel didn't speak English and they weren't able to call a taxi for us.

Great Spot and use locker during your day out. But breakfast room is too small.
