A very beautifully situated lodge, we particularly liked the detached houses with a view over the plain of La Fortuna. Very nicely furnished and equipped.
Taking tours from there was very interesting and exciting. And the nearby waterfall is absolutely worth a visit with a swim in the refreshing water.

Hotel located close to La Fortuna Waterfall and the trail to Cerro Chatota (lake where once was the crater of a volcano).
Excellent option for those who want to go on the trail, as non-guests need to pay a fee of 15 dollars to enter the property (the trail starts within the hotel grounds). The trail is not for everyone, the difficulty level is high.
Old but functional rooms. Friendly and helpful staff.

Bait and switch at its finest. They show you such a beautiful hotel with all these amenities that when you get there it’s a completely different hotel and the bar was broken. The pool was filthy. The food was horrible. They were buggers all over the place.

This hotel was great. Conveniently located close to the La Fortuna Waterfall. Easy parking. Breakfast was simple. We stayed at the 1 bedroom villa. Room was big and spacious. However, bugs everywhere. Be warned.

I stayed in the standard room.
PROS:
Excellent location (literally right next to the waterfall) and a fantastic restaurant called Chante Verde.
Quiet at night
Nice drive to and from hotel
Private parking
Nice staff
Clean rooms
Clean bathroom and shower
Nice view and okay pool
CONS:
Run down hotel
Beds were a little uncomfortable
Don’t even bother with breakfast or any hotel services besides tours
This is a perfect stay for people looking for just a bed to sleep and then off in the AM to drive wherever. If you’re looking for a relaxing all inclusive look else where

Good setting and service. Nice to have the private trails and access to its own waterfall. It's not too far from town, though I'd recommend having a car.

I’m not sure if it was just my unit, but honestly I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it only because our room was so humid that my hair never dried. Our clothes never dried. Our towels from showering never dried. The place isn’t dirty at all, it’s just run down. Really peaceful rainforest noises all night, but beware the drive to our bungalow was slightly veeery bumpy and steep. Breakfast was good!! Super fast. The server was very nice. Front desk staff also very pleasant

Room was comfortable and dining was good. We really appreciated getting a takeout breakfast when we needed to leave early for tours. A hot tub would have been nice for the cool evenings.
