As per the title I think my friend sums up Estival Park perfectly by saying “ Not quite a four star, but definitely more than a three star…”. We stay in no 3 the Tui hotel after booking with On the Beach and we pleasantly surprised by the standard - refurbed? - after reading some of the reviews here. The hotel, rooms and public areas were well presented and very clean, and our room was cleaned well each day. The restaurants are ok - not the best AI food we’ve had but not the worst with much variety. The restaurant in Estival 2 seems to be less “canteen” like and was our preference, but we very much enjoyed the AI area with self serve drinks, coffee and spirits from the bar and great staff in Estival 3. All staff were polite and professional throughout. The pools are a tad disappointing. At the time we arrived the rooftop / adults only pool was closed (open from June) and the three hotel area pools are more focused on children, not really “swimming” pools. A couple of my friends enjoyed the AI Spa in a separate building and top tip - although the drinks are not inclusive here they are pretty cheap - it’s a lovely sun trap area to sit outside watch the world go by, €10 for four beers. La Pineda has a nice beach and promenade which is worth a walk and a local tapas lunch in one of the many beach side restaurants, although the main drag is a bit more tourist focused. Overall we enjoyed our stay, were well cared for and looked after. Our only let down was some of our fellow Brits letting themselves down - just becuase you’re AI doesn’t mean you have to drink yourself unconscious or grab multiple pocketfuls of condiments on your last evening, please have a little more class and less greed!
