Very hot rooms, although they indicate that there is no air conditioning, they only have a very small fan that does not cool the room. In addition, the showers are unmaintained, the silicone on the door is peeled off and all the water leaks out. Apart from that, the staff is very friendly and the breakfast is varied. Be careful that if you go out at night and arrive late it takes ages to open the gate so you expose yourself to being assaulted, that is the most complex thing. With my family we arrived at approximately one and spent 10 minutes waiting outside for them to open and it seems that it is quite unsafe around them, they should have another system because they expose you while you wait. I would not return to this hotel.

Un hotel que tiene sus años, pero esta bien mantenido es pequeño pero bonito. Personal muy amable y en general todo muy limpio. Costo versus calidad creo que está bien. Punto negativo : desayuno no es buffet ya que su variedad es muy mala Su horario es hasta las 10:30 Este domingo cerca de las 10:00 ya no había ni café Sería bueno quizás dejar clara esa info y saber que es según disponibilidad. Recomendable si porque su valor es coherente a lo que ofrecen.

El hotel es autiguo. EL internet es MALISIMO, el restaurante demorado como nada.

NO VAYA El Hotel Costa Real de La Serena refleja una mala gestión general y falta de liderazgo evidente. El problema no es el personal operativo —que intenta hacer lo que puede—, sino la ineptitud del Gerente General y del chef, responsables directos de una experiencia muy por debajo del nivel que el hotel pretende tener. El check-in fue impersonal y sin protocolo: la recepcionista (Carla) no dio la bienvenida, no pidió firma de registro ni explicó servicios, solo mencionó el horario del desayuno. Al llegar, la habitación estaba abierta, y durante tres días observé lo mismo con otras. Un riesgo grave de seguridad. La habitación fría, sin calefacción central encendida, muros manchados, ventilador sucio, sin vasos ni detalles mínimos. Tuve que pedir ayuda a una mucama —muy amable— para conseguir un calefactor, que hacía tanto ruido que no se podía ver televisión. Amenities en sachet, jabón de mala calidad que ni siquiera hacía espuma. El desayuno buffet fue deplorable, pobre, ordinario: jugos artificiales, café de grano marca Haití, sin reposición oportuna (el domingo esperamos más de 20 minutos), sin platos, sin frutas, sin control ni supervisión. Y lo más insólito: no hay gerente de turno, ni supervisión alguna. El mismo portero que trabaja de noche estaba atendiendo en la mañana y a mediodía. Eso demuestra una gestión deficiente, sin liderazgo ni respeto por el equipo ni por los huéspedes. Un hotel puede tener buenas camas, pero sin dirección, estándares ni cocina competente, no hay hospitalidad que se sostenga. Vergüenza debería darles.
