"A hotel that doesn't deserve its 4 stars We stayed 3 nights in this hotel and were very disappointed. Upon arrival, we were not given any information spontaneously about how the establishment operates (breakfast times, access to services, etc.). We had to return to reception several times to get answers. The room, in a 70s style inspired by Charlotte Perriand, could have had some charm, but it was visibly shabby. The soundproofing is very poor: you can hear everything that is happening next door. The lighting is too dim, it is difficult to see anything after dark. The bathroom, also in the same style, is tiny, with no space to put your things, and it is impossible to take a shower without getting it everywhere. Sockets were unscrewed, and the general maintenance left something to be desired. The cleaning was very uneven: done once at 5 p.m., another time in the morning, and above all, one day, the window had been left wide open while we were on the ground floor, with all our belongings inside. Unacceptable. The spa is charged €15/hour, an exorbitant price for a simple jacuzzi in a veranda and a sauna without charm, without a cozy atmosphere. The gym is uninviting, with floor mats with holes. The hotel service is below what you would expect from a 4-star hotel: changing staff, unfriendly, never a kind word, not even a simple “how was your stay?” when it came to settling the bill. No quality approach. Another surprising element: 24 hours before our arrival, we received an email asking us to pay for the stay in advance and to bring our own towels, because the hotel was apparently out of stock! Once there, I saw other guests with nice towels, and was able to get some at reception... for a deposit of €120 for 4 towels! The breakfast is okay, but not refined. The dishes are sometimes dirty, the cups are very small, which means you have to get up several times if you want to drink a normal amount of tea (no teapot available). The balcony is pleasant and the bedding is good quality, but that's not enough to compensate for the overall situation. The only indication of the 4-star standing: the price of a glass of coke by the pool: €5. In short, an establishment that relies on a ranking it doesn't deserve. Too bad."
