Charming French provincial stone house with big garden - only problem was that check-in normally starts at 4.30pm but the owner very kindly opened up the premises for us at 3.00pm and so we had time to walk to the nearby town of Touros - a mediaeval gem in the heart of Burgundy. Although the churches and a remarkable hospital museum are worth seeing, we were most impressed by the two Michelin-starred restaurants and we ate at Les Terrasses which was absolutely superb. Even better, the chef drove us home because we couldn’t get a taxi!

Nice bed and breakfast, quiet, well located near Tournus. Simple but with more than enough amenities for a good night's sleep. Very nice host who cuts into 4 for its residents. Possibility to leave bicycles in a locked room.
