Best Western Plus Lafayette Hotel University Area

This was my first stay at a Best Western, overall we were very pleased with our stay. The only thing I think they need to do is update their room listings that say there is a bathtub, because I booked the room I did because it showed it had a tub. When arriving at the hotel staff told me that all rooms had been redone and no longer have tubs only walk-in showers.

Before I got home, I only had minor inconveniences to complain about, the sink drain in the room leaked on the floor, the bath plug leaked, and the fitness room didn't have 20 or 25 lb dumbells. After driving 11 hours home though, I realized the Mary Lou's doughnuts I had bought to bring back with me, as they're my favorite doughnuts, had gotten infested with ants in the 22 hours which they had been in my room. I first thought 1 or 2 had wandered in from my apartment, but moving the wax paper revealed dozens, all in the box. 8 of 12 I tossed, and 2 I ate without realizing the infestation.

Excellent job! Great stay!! Having a feather allergy most hotels do not properly prepare the room to be feather free in advance, even when I call in advance. They did! Addee at the front desk was very busy all night but was a rockstar and very attentive to all our needs and requests....she went above and beyond! I will happily stay here again should I be in the area.

First, I just want to say this is a nice place to stay with lots of restaurants and shopping close by. It's also decently close to Purdue University. The staff was great and everyone I encountered was very helpful and friendly. The food staff was also very nice. The negative came when I requested my room be cleaned ONCE during my stay of 10 days for work. I understand that help is hard to find and I don't need my room cleaned every day. I just needed some soap and my trash emptied (I ate a lot of meals in my room) so on day 5 I asked if my room could be cleaned. I was told ”No, we don't have the staff to clean your room”. I asked if someone could at least put some soap in the room and empty the trash. They did those items but took every single towel out of the room and didn't return any! I had to call the front and someone did bring towels later that night. Come on Marriott, pay your people better so guests staying more than 1-2 days can actually get their room cleaned! I don't think requesting a clean room ONCE during a 10 day stay was out of bounds. I'm a rewards member so I always look for Marriott Hotels when I travel, but I may have to find a different place in Lafayette.
Holiday Inn Lafayette-City Centre

It is located in Lafayette City, less than 2 kilometers from Purdue University, with few people around and a bit deserted. Although it is in Lafayette City, it is not comparable to Hexi Purdue University, and Ctrip has booked no breakfast.
Staybridge Suites Lafayette

This is a new Staybridge, still with a new smell. There are some punch list items that still need to be addressed though. For instance, the rubber baseboards weren't glued to the wall good and the cabinet doors catch and aren't smooth. The silverware holder was too big for the drawer, so it was just on the counter. These aren't huge, but they're details that need attention. More aggravating was that 2 of the 4 washing machines in the laundry room weren't working. That is a major perk to Staybridge, but it seems that the ones we've stayed at lately had half of their machines out of order. Breakfast was okay, considering what the ”new normal” seems to be for that, but it was below what we had come to expect from Staybridge prior to the pandemic. The ”pantry” was well stocked. Another aggravating point was that the room was a 2 queen with sofa bed and was advertised as a 6 person room, but the sofa bed was a twin. The 2 queen beds also seemed smaller than a normal queen, but that may have just been perception. Finally there was tableware for 4, instead of 6 and only 2 bar stools to sit and eat at. I understand that many people may not need these extra place settings and seats, but that's one of the main reasons that our family of 6 likes to book a room at hotels like this, so we are more comfortable and can save on meals. We will give it another shot for sure, but hope they get the kinks worked out quick. With all of the minor issues, it was clean and comfortable.
