Hotel Antigua Patagonia is located opposite the police check-point on RP43, about 3km from the centre of Los Antiguos. The hotel has a great view of Lake Buenos Aires and offered in its living years 16 room. In November 2022 we found Hotel Antigua Patagonia closed, permanently closed. Grass grows on the double tennis court and on the parking lot. The annex restaurant building still waits completion. The lawn at the lake is dry & dead. The hotel didn’t survive the Covid-19 pandemic. Once there were high expectations to get Los Antiguos, the cherries centre of Patagonia, into a tourist’s favourite. There is a new promenade at Lake Buenos Aires (a prestigious present by president Kirchner), and a nice tourist office. The whole town is eager to see tourists. There are no tourists, not even in spring in a past-Covid year. The lake is cold and the wind is fierce.
