Agua Hotels Vila Branca

Great location, friendly service, and a very complete breakfast. My only reservation is regarding the cleanliness of the common areas between the different accommodation units; perhaps because the area is so large, the fallen leaves from the plants along the long paths to the breakfast area weren't being collected.

There were two swimming pools, but we didn't fully utilize them because of the cold and windy weather. The room, however, was very spacious, about 63 square meters (?), practically a senior citizen's retreat, as almost all the guests were seniors. There was an Italian restaurant next to the check-in counter; we had dinner there the first night, and the food was delicious with excellent service. The living room had a sofa bed, and best of all, a kitchenette and washing machine. We stayed two nights and later discovered there was a small supermarket nearby with everything you could need, including fruit and bread. It's a bit of a walk to the beach, but I think it's great for hiking. The coastal hiking trail is a must-do; it's incredibly beautiful and you definitely won't regret it.
