Can confirm roaches. Went to sink in kitchenette at 1 am. Found 4 roaches in sink and cabinet underneath sink. This is completely unacceptable. This is the first time I have ever seen this in 30 years of coming to this resort, but other guests have written reviews about it as well.

We've just returned from a wonderful week at this beautiful resort. In spite of all of the naysayers who warned against traveling to West Maui after the tragic fire last August, we found nothing but warm greetings, hospitable and friendly staff, and absolutely perfect weather. This was our second visit to the resort, but the first with a unit overlooking the ocean and the beautiful grounds. Hyatt nailed it when they built this facility ten years ago, and it is aging extremely well. We brought friends who'd never been to Hawaii before and had a great time seeing Maui through their eyes--and we treated them to experiences that are quintessentially Hawaiian, including the Drums of the Pacific luau next door at the Hyatt Regency, a whale-watching cruise, and lots of great food. Our unit was beautifully appointed with comfortable beds, a fully-equipped kitchen, en suite laundry facilities, and a wonderful balcony where we enjoyed whale-watching, and some beautiful sunsets. The resort is short walk from Whalers Village--and in spite of the recent downturn in tourist traffic to Maui, the shopping and dining center seems to be going strong.

What an incredible spot! We have visited Maui many times and love the location, the best spot on Ka'anapali beach. Our friends own multiple weeks and at their suggestion, we opted to share a stay in their 2 bedroom 12th floor Ocean view Hyatt Residence villa. WOW! What an incredible experience. Let me preface that we have spent many trips in the last ten years staying at $800-2000 night properties for a week in Wailea, Ka'anapali and even Waikiki before. If only I knew eight years ago about this Hyatt Residence club. I could have saved almost $100k on my past trips to Maui and have paid off my Ownership by now. Then I would just be traveling to stay here on my Maintenance dues. The people on here who are complaining have no clue. This is a luxury fractional ownership property. If you want Montage and Four Seasons levels of service then spend $2000-4000 per night. However if you are looking at a property you can own then go one property over past the Marriott to the Ali'i and spend $12,000 for a week like we did in a 2 bedroom last year. There's no Lobby, no Activities for kids, no complimentary valet, no salt water pool and no Bi weekly maid service let alone kindess from all the Hyatt staff we met. Every owner we met at the Pool was happier than owners we met before at the Marriott next door, or the Westin or the Hilton Hawaiian village. Which are comparable properties when purchasing, however don't come close in quality and luxury of villa, amenities or service. Very glad we purchased and looking forward to our trip next year!!! 🥰✨️ Maui No ke Oi!

We rented a three bedroom but from Redweek. We request high floor and got the 11th floor! Very spacious unit for our family of four. Huge kitchen and living and dining area. The lanai is huge with great ocean and pool views. The unit can easily accommodate a larger family or group.

We are here now and we love it!! Some of the reviews on here have been negative and I was nervous! Now I’m so confused because I really can’t think of thing to complain about here. It’s absolutely gorgeous! It’s Clean, beds are comfy, and EVERY single person who works here has been so incredibly nice from the valet, to the front desk, to the maintenance men. This place is honestly paradise.

I am enraged, hotel charged me a $500 smoking fee and my family doesn’t even smoke. My wife has asthma, we have toddlers and I’ve never touched a cigarette or cigar in my life. Just another shady motel charging guests fees for something they didn’t do. Front desk managers were very rude when I tried to plead my case. I even offered webcam footage of my entire stay in my room just to prove that I never smoked at all in the room. They would not provide me with any photos or evidence of me smoking in the room and would not accept my recoded evidence discrediting their accusation. This place is a scam, always check your folios for added fees. That’s how these hotels make their money.

From a hotel and staff perspective, it's all pretty nice: a beautiful property, nicely appointed condos, and a friendly staff. Most rooms are great...but beware, only a few are bad and it will take away from your special vacation. 3201 is a dungeon- above the trash trucks and you look at a stucco wall and rooftop where garbage and old furniture are strewn over the roof. Suggestion to Hyatt...maybe the hotel could keep these bad rooms for 'comp" rooms instead of your HRC paying owners who literally help pay your salary and for the property. The dirty floors were really the breaking point. We made our reservations 6 months out in a high Mountain View and were placed in a low ADA wall-view room. We'll see who has the last laugh. Buyer beware... the timeshare ownership part...I cannot say enough bad things about how the HRC. now owned by Marriott Timeshares treat owners, and it's been much worse since the takeover by Marriott Timeshare corporate. (allegedly not affiliated anymore with Marriott) Stephanie Butera and John Geller should do a complete review of the management team at HRC and go through a massive customer service bootcamp. The Hyatt Residence Club corporate office, headed by Stephanie Butera, treats their owners like crap, especially Supervisor "Josh A"; his condescending attitude is unforgivable. They use fake names so who knows if Josh is his real name. I believe HRC forgets the customers are paying lots of $ and the HRC team have jobs because of the customer. Overall terrible customer service. Since Marriott Timeshare bought them, the owner treatment situation has hit rock bottom.

The week before our arrival we were informed we didn’t get the ocean view we had traded away, but still looking forward to a first time stay. Booked months earlier. The room, well appointed, with a lanai wall glass door but we couldn’t enjoy it open due to constant traffic noise. Not to mention the crowing of roosters all day, squealing breaks and constant door lock alarms. So disappointed. Tried several restaurants in the area only to conclude the food is marginal even though the service was good and friendly. Don’t do the Hyatt breakfast buffet. So bad. $106 for cold scrambled eggs and bacon cooked maybe yesterday and fruit. Concierge clueless. Definitely NOT the serene sand and palms I was expecting especially after the hype we were given by Hyatt regarding this property. We had to check out of our room by 10am. No late check out and our fight wasn’t til late. They offer an arrival/ departure lounge. Great! Right? Not unless you want to spend your last few hours in Maui in a virtually windowless closet with gym lockers not large enough for even your carry on. You got to ask yourself, whom at Hyatt, though that was remotely appealing to owners and guests? Planned several scenic trips away from the hotel which were beautiful but if we ever come back, I’ll use my Hyatt points and timeshare elsewhere. Definitely not worth the money and so disappointed with Hyatt.

Disappointed for the price. We booked this property for the kiddie pools. They were great ! We checked in on Saturday and we were told that housekeeping would come on Thursday . While the furnishings were Minimal to cook, the towels and beds were refreshed. Much to my surprise the floors were filthy. The crud on the baseboards indicated that it has been months since they were cleaned. Changed the housekeeping to Monday and left a large tip and a list to wash the floors. Done . The snacks in the on-site shop were outrageous. $8 for a bag of Maui chips ? $12.25 for cream cheese for a bagel ??? Food orders were tasty and pricey but expected. Valet and luggage service was exceptional . And we were not bothered by constant offers of timeshares. No beach. It has washed away. Very sad. I’m sure they have a remedy plan but it will be a huge cost. Overall pleased but they need a better cleaning list.
