Palia's Hotel

Fantastic family runs hotel ! We arrived really late at night and Roberto the manager waited for us and helped with the luggage’s, then at morning he took time to explains every delicious dish from the breakfast (mostly homemade) and all products are local from the village nearby / or the region. We also got recommendations for where to go since we came here to do an Calabrian roadtrip ^.^ Nothing negative to say except that we are only sad that we couldn’t stay longer to enjoy the area around and try more of the hotel’s restaurant food !! The room is spacious and very clean, an memorable short stay. 100% recommend

My brother and I had the pleasure of staying at Palia’s Hotel at the beginning of our cycling journey through Calabria. From beginning to end it was an amazing experience. The host Roberto could not have been more welcoming. The hotel itself is quintessentially Italian in style and execution, tasteful and spotless. Set in a beautiful location just above the center of Laino Borgho, with the hypnotizing sound of the river Lao below, we were treated more like family than guests. Breakfast was amazing, among the best and most generous that I’ve ever had in a hotel. Virtually all of the food was locally sourced or made in Laino Borgo. If you have plans to be in the area, make a reservation at Palia’s Hotel. If you don’t have plans to be in the area, you’re missing out, so change your plans!

Just liked this place! From the first sight! super friendly owner, real great parking area, very quite indeed. Breakfast was mostly cooked by hostess, very fresh, not a chance to even taste all of those. No restaurant on site, but the village was quite near and makes sense to take a walk to restaurant, as the streets are really narrow there for driving, scratched my big car´s mirror to the wall.

Roberto is an incredibly nice guy, I had an amazing stay.

My husband and I were traveling from Sicily and arriving late. It was not a problem at all. Roberto was very kind and helpful. He spent time informing us about the area, he helped us get a late dinner, and even picked fruit from the trees when I asked about the fruit. The accommodations were clean and comfortable and breakfast was good. We would go back again!

Carmel and Connie Hole, we are a couple from Malta traveling to Poland and decided to book this hotel. This hotel deserves 5 out of 5 for the location and the surrounding beauty. The town of Laino Borgo is a small and peaceful place also the residence of the town they are all friendly The hotel was even excellent and comfortable and the food was super good Roberto was very informative and even point out where to visit in the surrounding area and at dinner he even explain about the food that he’s serving. In all I will be back with my family next time and spend more time exploring this heaven on earth place

Roberto was the most welcoming host, the room was great with en suite and lovely shower. Great view from the balcony. We had dinner in the restaurant with amazing anti pasto, ravioli and chicken. Roberto’s wine recommendation was top notch. We would highly recommend.
