Holiday Inn & Suites LAKE CITY by IHG

Hotel had a very run down feel to it. One elevator didn’t work so the only running elevator was a long wait to use. Pool opened at 7:00 but at 7:45 the doors were still locked. It also appeared that there was a continental breakfast but found you had to pay $12.99. There were guests already eating breakfast that didn’t realize the cost. We haven’t stayed at a Holiday Inn in a while and were surprised how downhill they have went.

The door to our room didn’t close and lock properly. We were at the very end of the Galloway so not super concerned as it seemed safe enough but we had to work at getting the door closed well.

The door had pry marks. We switched rooms 3 times and each one had this. The front desk was at a loss at first, but then later said it was from the hurricane. There hasn’t been a hurricane in quite a while. Also, the towels were stained and dingy.

$13. Per person for breakfast usually Holiday Inn breakfast is included. Rooms could use a little TLC. However main lobby was very nice. Bathroom towels were dingy & paper thin. Front desk Nichole was very nice and attentive. Bathroom counter & toilet too low. TV close caption, volume, & guide did not work.

My stay was overall good. The hotel was clean and comfortable, and everything else seemed to be in good condition. The only downside was the towels, they looked worn and could use an update. Other than that, everything was fine and met my expectations.

The lights from outside came into the room because there were no curtains. Distrusting my sleep

The room was really clean. We stayed one night and check out was at 11am but we did feel rushed to leave as house keeping came at almost 9am and started cleaning our room while we were at breakfast thinking we had already left. Other than that it was very clean and the Christmas decor was beautiful the check in lady was very helpful!

The hotel may be in need of a face lift in comparison to other Holiday Inn and Suites I have stayed at. But overall it wasn’t a bad experience.

Clean room and clean facility. Only issue was no water in back of toilet so had to fill ourselves In order to flush. Aside from that it is a very nice place
