Winmar Cabins has done it again. This was our second stay, and it was just as wonderful as the first — which is really saying something. The cabins are cozy, self-contained retreats — each one is its own private space with a full kitchen and private bathroom. Some cabins even have larger kitchens than others, which is a nice bonus if you plan to cook during your stay. Everything is clean, well-furnished, and thoughtfully set up in that perfect rustic-but-comfortable way. And for what you get, the price is genuinely hard to beat. The owners and staff are easy to reach and so friendly, and that kind of hospitality makes a real difference. Whether you're planning a quick weekend or a longer stay, this place is set up for both. But the location is truly the star. You're perfectly positioned to head up to Twin Lakes, cruise over Independence Pass, pop into Buena Vista, or make the quick trip to Leadville. It's rare to find a spot that gives you such easy access to so much. Safe to say we'll be back for a third. Highly recommend.
