We used this resort as a base for visiting SeaWorld in Orlando and Busch Gardens in Tampa. It worked out nicely for that. There are plenty of places to shop and eat nearby, too. There is a Publix shopping center easily accessible from the resort without getting back onto the main highway in front of the resort. There were a few minor issues with our unit, and we weren't happy with the expensive fee for housekeeping, but overall we were happy with our stay. The unit was spacious and mostly clean. Nothing was new, but as owners of other timeshares, we know that things are replaced on a cycle with HOA funds.

Beautiful NYE stay. Played a round in Las Calinas when we arrived then went to Knickers for dinner. Knickers was good but bleu chips chips were burnt. Checked in and hit the room to get ready. Liked the patio was enclosed. Beautiful grounds to walk around with your companion. Such a quiet facility. Beds were comfortable. Brunch was heavy with all the options. Can see us returning.

The staff at this hotel have gone above and beyond to accommodate us. The place is spotless and you feel like one of the family. We stayed here because we needed to evacuate our homes in Homosassa due to a very serious hurricane (Helene). Be sure to look it up if you want a great place to stay.

Jana Whitton, Groups Manager checked us in and she was very friendly, helpful and courteous. She was receptive and knowledgeable of our questions. We were accommodated in building 2, the room was big and had a nice balcony overlooking the lake. Parking was limited but found a spot behind the building 1 next door. The downside was the room had older fixtures and furniture, beds were not comfortable as we expected them to be somewhat luxurious .with the room rate, definitely needing a facelift. We will definitely come back (if new bed!) because it’s a beautiful place!

We booked 2 rooms just a day before our trip. The room my boyfriend and I had was large and had a view of the pool and Lake Dora. It was very clean and well-stocked with towels and other essentials. The bed was very comfortable. My only complaint was beyond the hotel's control: the people in the room next to us were extremely loud while apparently enjoying an intimate evening (that went on for more than 2 hours!) As noted by hotel management, these buildings are originals (i.e. historical/old). We loved the charm and nostalgic feel of the whole place. But the walls are ”thin” :)
