Fairmont Château Lake Louise

After a great time at Emerald Lake, we were able to check in at 2 PM and even got upgraded to a lake-view room. It was lovely to lie in bed and enjoy the view, though it was a bit noisy being right by the elevator. We had dinner reservations by the window, and the view was beautiful; the steak was good too.

The room wasn't very big, probably because I booked a lower floor through the platform. The service looked great, and I initially thought it was, but after checking my reservation details, I realized that both the car service and luggage handling were extra charges.

The Lakeview Window Suite offers five windows with panoramic views of Lake Louise. The living room and two bedrooms are spacious and bright! It's equipped with both a shower and a bathtub, and the toiletries are exquisite. The cleanliness is top-notch! 👍

Lake Louise wasn't fully thawed in May, so my friend and I decided to treat ourselves to a stay at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise for the last day of our Banff trip. And then the hilarious thing happened! The handsome blonde guy at the front desk was chatting happily with me during check-in, handed me my room card, and wrote down room number 178. My friend and I excitedly went to the room, only to find the card wouldn't open the door. Just then, we ran into a housekeeper in the hallway. Seeing us trying to swipe into 178, she said, 'This room is occupied; they checked in yesterday.' I replied, 'Look, he gave me this room.' The housekeeper said, 'Let me open it for you to see.' So she just opened room 178?? We saw luggage inside (out of politeness, we didn't look too closely since it was someone else's room). Later, I went to the front desk to discuss it, and they told me, 'Oh, this isn't too serious an error, we just wrote down the wrong room number for you. Your room was ready.' My reaction: ??? Is this the quality of service you provide? Also, the hotel breakfast was pretty mediocre. My overall feeling is: it's okay to stay here, but not really necessary. Staying in Banff town is much more convenient for joining trips, eating, and shopping.

Lake Louise in April was still frozen over. While we didn't get the classic lake view, walking on the icy, snowy surface was a unique experience in itself. The hotel has its own charm, but as an older property, some of the facilities are definitely a bit dated. However, the food at the ground floor restaurant is highly recommended, and the service was top-notch.

Absolutely delighted! The hotel upgraded us to a lake-view room. The service and facilities truly live up to their Michelin-level reputation. The restaurant offers a wide variety of choices, and there's a 24-hour convenience store. On the second floor, there's a recreation room with complimentary tea and coffee. The best part is that every corner is incredibly photogenic, and enjoying afternoon tea by the 'Window of the World' was an amazing experience!
