Jero Apartment

The room was very warm, but not exceptionally clean. I had to re-wash the dishes myself. However, considering the incredibly low price of only 907 yuan for a winter stay, I'm quite satisfied overall. Just a heads-up, the property isn't directly on the main road, so you might need to look carefully to find it.

It's about a 15-20 minute walk to Lake Tekapo, or a 5-minute drive. The town isn't very big, so everything is pretty close by. The rooms are great, especially the twin room with its small courtyard next to it. Little flowers are planted along the path, and if you catch the sunset, it's absolutely stunning! They provide cutlery, basic seasonings, and a dishwasher, which is really convenient for Chinese cooking. The environment is clean and hygienic. Highly recommended!

The lake was within walking distance, so we were able to go stargazing late at night. It was a bit chilly, and there were minimal streetlights, but that meant we enjoyed an incredibly beautiful starry sky. We could also watch YouTube on the TV, which made for a relaxing time in the room. The studio-style room had a unique setup where you entered and exited through the window, leaving your shoes outside.
