Everything was fabulous, Dan was AMAZING, we were so so looked after, having a very special event, they made absolute sure we knew we were being well looked after. Thank you so much for making our special occasion so special, we live in kendal, not far, but felt like we were so far from home.

Stayed for one night to celebrate our anniversary we booked lunch and were amazed to find we were the only ones having lunch on a Sunday. We had booked dinner as well fortunately there were more people dining. The hotel is lovely room very nice. Food was ok. We used to dine here before when the previous owners had it and I have to say I found it a much different experience this time not for the better. We enjoyed ourselves but will not return.

Our family celebrated my mum's 80th birthday here and it was the perfect place to do so. The hotel, the grounds, the views of Lake Windermere and the mountains were superb. The rooms are great and very well presented and well equipped. For me though it was the staff that made our visit extra special, the whole team from arriving to leaving were wonderful, so friendly, polite, courteous, nothing was too much trouble for them. They are all stars in their own right! So thank you to each and everyone of them for a memorable stay. Just keep doing what you're doing! 😊

Holbech Ghyll is a beautiful, well-established hotel occupying an excellent elevated position overlooking Windemere. The Victorian building is classic English (and Lake District) with interior decor and furnishings to match. The service is excellent from when you are met, and the food is truly top-end stuff! I particularly liked the wide-ranging breakfasts, from full English to fluffy pancake stacks to eggs benedict and a lot more. The rooms are well equipped. This is a gem of a hotel, a real treat. I loved the place, highly recommended.

A wonderful experience in a unique arts and crafts building with wonderful views. The staff were lovely and the young man who looked after us was great. There were quite a few service issues - the wrong drinks, missing sugar etc so I hope the manager looks after him and trains him and ensures he wears clean clothes as he was a treasure that needs polishing.

We are just back from an overnight stay with dinner and breakfast, had a great time food is fabulous and Tom is a wonderful host, warm and very friendly and chatty can't fault the hospitality he goes above and beyond,the hotel is absolutely stunning in the most beautiful setting, we will defo be back soon ❤️❤️

Hotel is worth its weight in gold, simply for the views and location. However it backs that up with brilliant service, great food and drinks and relaxing service. Tom who runs the place is first class, very attentive, hard working and he makes you feel like you’re a special guest. We went because it featured on The Trip from 2010…it didn’t disappoint. You can sit in the same window as Coogan and Brydon! Tom is the star of the show though, best of luck to you mate! We’ll be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Holbeck Ghyll and have no hesitation in recommending it. The glorious situation, very comfortable room, delightful, attentive staff and excellent food, together made for a perfect mini break.
