SpringHill Suites Austin West/Lakeway

The staff at this location were entirely unhelpful. Lines piled up at the front desk regularly with no attempt to help triage needs or really any acknowledgement of the delay. The elevators were both broken, and our toilet was clogged. Neither issue could be fixed as they told us that maintenance was not on site and could not be reached. The rooms were relatively clean.

Everything was fine, except the bathroom wasn't clean. We got in late after a long day of driving and I didn't feel like saying anything to the hotel staff. But, there was dried pee spots around the floor by the toilet. Hair in the shower, sink and on the floor in the bathroom. Cleaned just enough to 'appear' clean. Really dislike remnants of prior people's stays when I'm in a hotel.

The breakfast was fresh with a lot to choose from. I did not go to the gym so I cannot comment on it. However, I did enjoy my room, ample space, cleanliness.

Can’t rate the property because their manager on duty told us ********** never told them we had rented the room at their property. Marriott claimed they had no idea we had the room reserved. I called the Lakeway Marriott a week prior and the girl at the front desk assured me we were in the system and we would have no problem. I double checked because the room was for my wife the night of my surgery at the Baylor Scott and White hospital which is literally next door to this Marriott. She had to return and spend the night in the hospital as Marriott refused to honor our reservation.I called the Marriott Lakeway general manager after my discharge and as of this writing he couldn’t be bothered to return my call. Marriott customer service is non existent. We will never book another Marriott and frankly anyone considering Marriott should think twice. They are a horrible company. Thanks

Front desk staff was strange and didn’t seem very knowledgeable, we weren’t informed of any parking charge until checkout, deadbolt in our room didn’t work, the window was open when we arrived so the AC was blasting, stains all over the couch and ottoman as well as bathroom walls, hairs woven into the towels and blankets/mattress, no handsoap in the bathroom, walls are super thin, front desk told us there would be bedding for the trundle but we ended up having to request it (another guest was ahead of us requesting the same thing)

Staff is excellent, friendly & accomodating. Rooms are very clean. Hotel is quiet and well maintained.

We only spent one night so we didn't have time to enjoy the hotel amenities. We did enjoy the breakfast and the warm welco e of the front office staff. Isaiah was very professional and kept calm trying to find us our room.
