For the price, this was a horrible option. Our room was dirty and smelled moldy. The teaware in the room was dirty and chipped. It's located inside the village (which is a special experience), but getting there requires driving on narrow stone streets with a lot of tourist traffic. They didn't mind when we asked to checkout one day early, but they argued with us about an irrelevant detail related to the checkout (apparently when you're checking out on the 17th, that means the 16th in China). The discussion became heated and 5 people got involved. This was unprofessional and unacceptable for a hotel charging 2000RMB/night.

The room was nice, and the receptionist was very welcoming. We had some tea, and there were plenty of restaurants nearby. The only downside was the very basic breakfast. Everything else was great.

I absolutely loved this guesthouse! Great location, excellent service, and it was clean. Their Pu'er tea was delicious. Sitting on the balcony, relaxing, and taking photos was also a nice experience.

The balcony of this room wasn't big, but the room itself was spacious and had a round bathtub, which was quite practical. The room next door had a large balcony, but the bathtub there wasn't very useful. Before leaving, the owner gave us some tea and local peanuts, which we appreciated!

A very satisfying stay! The room was super big and spacious, and the balcony was also very large with a wide view; the staff at the guesthouse were very welcoming and helpful, helping with our luggage and offering us tea, local peanuts, snacks, etc. They were very generous and hospitable; the breakfast was freshly made rice noodles, which were very fragrant!

A Hidden Gem in Wengji Village, Jingmai Mountain! Encounter the Fragrance of Tea and Starlight at Sanwen Homestay Half of the beauty of Jingmai Mountain lies hidden in the very fabric of Wengji Ancient Village, and the other half comes from the gentle hospitality of "Sanwen Homestay." This stay was simply divine! The scenery was breathtaking! The owner was incredibly thoughtful, upgrading our room to a "view-exclusive spot"—in the evening, leaning against the balcony, we could see the sunset, the afterglow flowing down the branches of the 2500-year-old cypress, even the wind carrying a gentle glow. The night was even more amazing; the light-pollution-free sky was filled with countless stars, and we could see the Milky Way from our bed. This immersive mountain romance was so healing. During the day, we strolled around the village, walking along the cobblestone paths to visit the ancient temple, feeling the weight of time in the legend of "listening to the sutras by the ancient cypress," every step a scenic view. The service was thoughtful and meticulous, etched into every detail. The locals' hospitality was palpable. The guesthouse owner, a tea-making inheritor of intangible cultural heritage, was incredibly approachable: he brewed ancient tree teas from different mountains, meticulously explaining the history of tea cultivation and the art of tea making for the Bulang people. Even afternoon tea included snacks and local fresh fruit, each bite bursting with the sweet, natural flavor of the mountains. The owner even offered to drive us to and from the village, and had previously inquired about where to rent electric scooters, providing directions to neighboring villages like Mangjing, so we didn't have to worry about planning. The stay was comfortable and hassle-free. The rooms were spacious and bright, the bedding soft and comfortable, and the toiletries complete—even the hairdryer was high-powered. The attention to detail was impeccable. Waking up to birdsong and opening the window to a misty ancient tea forest filled the air with the fresh scent of herbs and trees. Renting an electric scooter to explore the villages and returning to the guesthouse to rest when tired—this relaxed feeling is exactly what travel needs. From the fragrant afternoons of tea to the star-studded nights, Sanwen Homestay blends scenery, culture, and attentive service into a truly unforgettable experience. Staying here at Jingmai Mountain is the only way to truly understand the beauty of Wengji. I'll definitely be back for a second visit!

The toilet and shower at the guesthouse were at least 4-star quality for a second-tier city, and the mattress was very comfortable. There were bound to be flying insects in the mountains, but that's understandable. The room was spacious; our family of three adults and one child didn't feel cramped. The guesthouse owner kept inviting us for tea, and any minor issues we raised about our accommodation were resolved the next day. The rice noodles in the morning were much better than those in hotels in Pu'er city. Overall, I highly recommend it!
