Sanwen Guesthouse in Wengji, Jingmai Mountain

I absolutely loved this guesthouse! Great location, excellent service, and it was clean. Their Pu'er tea was delicious. Sitting on the balcony, relaxing, and taking photos was also a nice experience.

This stay was simply divine! The scenery was breathtaking! The owner was incredibly thoughtful, upgrading our room to a "view-exclusive spot"—in the evening, leaning against the balcony, we could see the sunset, the afterglow flowing down the branches of the 2500-year-old cypress, even the wind carrying a gentle glow. The night was even more amazing; the light-pollution-free sky was filled with countless stars, and we could see the Milky Way from our bed. This immersive mountain romance was so healing. During the day, we strolled around the village, walking along the cobblestone paths to visit the ancient temple, feeling the weight of time in the legend of "listening to the sutras by the ancient cypress," every step a scenic view. The service was thoughtful and meticulous, etched into every detail. The locals' hospitality was palpable. The guesthouse owner, a tea-making inheritor of intangible cultural heritage, was incredibly approachable: he brewed ancient tree teas from different mountains, meticulously explaining the history of tea cultivation and the art of tea making for the Bulang people. Even afternoon tea included snacks and local fresh fruit, each bite bursting with the sweet, natural flavor of the mountains. The owner even offered to drive us to and from the village, and had previously inquired about where to rent electric scooters, providing directions to neighboring villages like Mangjing, so we didn't have to worry about planning. The stay was comfortable and hassle-free. The rooms were spacious and bright, the bedding soft and comfortable, and the toiletries complete—even the hairdryer was high-powered. The attention to detail was impeccable. Waking up to birdsong and opening the window to a misty ancient tea forest filled the air with the fresh scent of herbs and trees. Renting an electric scooter to explore the villages and returning to the guesthouse to rest when tired—this relaxed feeling is exactly what travel needs. From the fragrant afternoons of tea to the star-studded nights, Sanwen Homestay blends scenery, culture, and attentive service into a truly unforgettable experience. Staying here at Jingmai Mountain is the only way to truly understand the beauty of Wengji. I'll definitely be back for a second visit!
