Wengji Senye No. 66 Homestay

Ongji No. 66 B&B is newly renovated. The room is very quiet, with excellent air quality and an outdoor balcony. I had a very comfortable stay on the second floor. The owner is really nice and offered free Pu'er tea. I bought a lot of tea from them. If you're coming to Ongji Ancient Village again, I highly recommend it!

The room was fantastic, very spacious and clean – a surprisingly great B&B! The decor was very thoughtfully done. All rooms have large balconies directly facing big trees, where you can watch squirrels scamper around and also enjoy the sunrise. The host was very responsible, helping us with our luggage when we went in and out of the village.

This is a very new guesthouse located inside Wengji Ancient Village, with modern and minimalist decor. My family especially loved the balcony in the room; sitting there and looking at the scenery outside was very comfortable. The beds in the room were clean and hygienic, and the shower room was spacious. The guesthouse hostess greeted us very warmly, and the host and his relatives helped carry our luggage on their motorcycles when we arrived and departed, which was very thoughtful. It's a shame we could only book one night this time; I hope to come back and stay a few more days next time. 😀 The downsides, I suppose, are that there were too few outlets near the bed in the room 😂, only one. Another thing is that even in winter, there were some small flying insects, and there might be more in summer. However, the room was already equipped with screens and electric mosquito repellent.

The guesthouse is new and clean, with spacious and comfortable rooms. It's also one of the few guesthouses in the village with a separate shower and toilet. If you're driving, you can park on the roadside at the village entrance. Driving into the village is possible, but the roads are narrow and winding, only wide enough for one lane, making it difficult for oncoming traffic to pass each other, so it's not recommended. The owner will help carry your luggage from the village entrance to the guesthouse; it's only about a 100-meter walk inside.

The owners are a young couple who kept the rooms spotless and tidy. The bathroom was clean and hygienic, with a separate shower and toilet – very thoughtful. The floor-to-ceiling windows overlook the balcony, and the view is absolutely stunning. Waking up to watch the sea of ​​clouds and sunrise – what could possibly worry you?! I was initially worried about insects in the mountains, but after two days, there weren't any! Not a single bug. There are eight rooms on the first and second floors, all with fantastic views. The rooms are also quite large and spacious. The twin beds could easily fit four people! 🙈🙈🙈 The owners are shy yet very welcoming; we would sit together every day for tea and a chat, which was very enjoyable. I really didn't want to leave. They have their own tea plantation; I recommend trying it.
