From the moment we arrived it was a wonderful experience. Steeped in history but still had a modern luxury feel about the building. Staff super professional and friendly. Probably the best breakfast EVER! Will come again in the summer.

The room is very clean, warm and spacious. The room is high. The bathroom is large with a bathtub. The waiters are very beautiful. The decoration and breakfast are very British. The sunset over the Jianhe River next to the hotel is so beautiful. I will come again. Yes. Highly recommended by friends and family!

I had an absolutely remarkable experience. From the moment I stepped into the elegant lobby, I was greeted by warm smiles and a genuine sense of hospitality that lasted throughout my entire stay. My room was spacious and was meticulously clean and beautifully appointed. The comfortable bed and luxurious amenities ensured a blissful night's sleep. The hotel was a little bit further than I expected from the town centre. There is a bus route that can go to the town but it's up to a 10 min walk. It would be great if the hotel provided at least a shuttle service because taxis were also quite expensive just for a few miles. The hotel itself was presentable, the staff was helpful and nice, and the rooms were also spacious enough and clean with all the usual amenities. My room had the disabled bathroom so it was a little bigger I think but the drainage needs sorting out because the whole floor almost flooded with water. The heating A/C was working well and quiet. Breakfast the next morning was included in the price and the choice was basic but enough. I did feel that the plate was smaller than many other places I've stayed at but I guess that was to avoid food waste. They had scambled egg only, sausages, bacon, beans, toast, tea/coffee/juice, 3 cereals and spreads for toast-not bad but could be a little better in variety.

The room is clean and tidy when we checked in, they use white company shower products and also provide bedroom slippers which is great for hygiene. We did experience some poor customer service experience as we arrived around midnight and there’s no service staffs at the front desks and we had to knock on the glass door to seek attention. Then the reception staffs got confused with the room booking and assigned two same rooms to us. Then they asked us to insert card and pay again for the prepay hotel. I had to clarify and then also informed them about the breakfasts for next two days had been paid. On the next day they asked again and on our last day they still didn’t have our records about the breakfasts again and all the staffs did was to blame that it’s systems glitch. Even on our last day they still said there’s no records of breakfasts paid. Overall the room quality is pretty good, the cleaning of the room could be better as we still see hair on the bed after it was cleaned on the 2nd night. There’s also some issue with the bathroom door for one of our rooms, and the staffs fixed that timely. It’s mainly the front service staffs that were not very professional and seems like they haven’t been updating the systems records well or getting the systems fixed so that all these could be prevented.

New, modern and bright hotel. It is next to the train station so easy access to the station or its car park. The downside is there is no shop or restaurant nearby but I guess it will take time for the commercials to grow. Plus side, there is a pool free to use.

The cleanliness and food at the hotel was good the only problem was the bed in the hotel as my partner had trouble sleeping and the pillows were very uncomfortable for him. Other than that everything was ok.

We stayed at Holiday Inn for 2 nights between May 30 - June 1 2023. Overall the hotel was great and we had a pleasant stay, we had planned to visit the town center and look at the history of Cambridge thus the location was important to us. It was only a short drive (5 mins) to the centre where we could go punting, shopping and to the universities, museums and gardens. We included breakfast in our stay, which I would highly recommend there was a great selection of foods and the pancake machine was a huge win for us. The only thing we were disappointed with was the fact that dressing robes and waters which are usually complimentary in other hotels we have visited, were not included in the room for free and when we asked we were told we could drink the water from the bathroom, which was not pleasant but other factors such as the fact our room was cleaned regularly and the amazing breakfast did make up for this.

Travelodge wouldn’t have been a bad memory except for TRIP that made it a horrible one for me , I definitely sure this would be my last dealing with them. Here is my ordeal with Travelodge and TRIP.com, on arriving the hotel I discovered the hotel has no air conditioning and it was terribly hot in London, I immediately notified the hotel of my intention to check out which they agreed to and are willing to give me a refund , unfortunately the TRIP customer service kept going round and round with the situation inorder for them to make me finish my stay at the hotel even with the fact that I complained it wasn’t comfortable, to be honest the hotel did their best to ensure I get my refund but trip messed everything up, there was practically nothing they didn’t do to make sure I didn’t check out even when someone from the hotel spoke with them about their willingness to give me a refund this is the hotel Ass. Manager ( Mrs Gosia) . I had a very terrible experience with trip and it is definitely going to be my last . I couldn’t sleep most of the night because of the terrible heat at night thanks to trip. 😞

Standard old English hotel, the room is quite big, all facilities are good, the location is very close to the city center, eating around is very convenient, the hotel restaurant is very lively at night, drinking and singing and dancing. Breakfast was very good.
