Excellent
Suites were nicely decorated, spacious and comfortable. Great views. Could not find anything to fault it (other than there was no kettle to boil water for tea, but this was minor). This hotel is in a valley so you can hear some noise at night - We were on a very high floor but were kept awake by drilling at 3am for a couple of nights. But I think these apparant building or road works were just temporary. Pool was quite nice to swim in and not too crowded when I visited in the morning. Maybe busier late afternoon. Decent size for swimming Restaurant was good. Reasonable choice for breakfast and we ate evening meal there twice. Staff helpful although we did need google translate as the English was limited but they did try very hard and Columbia is not really a country where English is widely spoken so that is not a criticism. This hotel was quite expensive (the most expensive one we stayed in, in Columbia) but I feel it was worth just paying that little extra on this occasion to treat ourselves.

AAleja_8888The location is excellent, exactly in the middle of everything, walk distance to get the metro, many restaurants near by, 10 minutes walking to Provenza, easy to get to a a big super market where you can find all you need including clothes from Colombian brands. They are very good to help you with everything you required. We got a tour with them to Guatapé as they suggest and was a really good experience. The staff is so friendly and helpful, we didn’t have a metro card and they borrow us to used for all the time that we were in the hotel. They explained us where to go, timings, etc. in the place they have an easy metro map on the wall, that you can just see all the spots to visit in Medellin. The place is very clean. I’m very happy and for sure we will be back there when we come to Medellin again.

SSarahA beautiful new hotel in El Poblado. A short taxi from the madness that is Provenza. The 3rd floor is fantastic with the hydrotherapy pool and the infrared sauna. There is also a listening room and yoga room. The staff were so attentive and genuinely warm. The quality of the grab and go non alcoholic and alcohol drinks was high. Coffee amazing. They've nailed it with the breakfast option. No fear of cold scrambled eggs or overeating at a breakfast buffet. I enjoyed both the shakshuka and the benny. I had my laundry done as well and they said it was be ready by the next day but it was done the same day. Definitely stay here!!

This chic and gorgeous boutique hotel with a pool and café/restaurant & bar was the perfect combination of things we needed during our stay in Medellin. It is located in an area known as Patio Bonito which is just a hop, skip and a jump away from the well-known El Poblado and Manila areas. We prefer to stay in the Patio Bonito area for its uniqueness in being close enough to the beautiful chaos but with the added bonus of being in a serene neighborhood. I guess I could be called a seasoned traveler but I hadn’t written a review for a long while but we frequent Medellin and this place deserves a shout-out as it stands out amongst the rest! In all my accommodation experiences Antipoda Hotel surpasses expectations in terms of the aforementioned and additionally in the quality of bedding, shower designs and water pressure, -cleanliness and warm service. The hotel itself doesn't have a lot of rooms (maybe 8-10) and is neatly tucked away like a hidden gem. Last but not least, I search high and low for good food and coffee and lo and behold this place met and exceeded my expectations! It’s no surprise that they had good coffee I suppose but the menu was obviously well thought-out and designed for a unique experience with a modern twist of local and foreign flavors and each dish was definitely IG worthy in presentation. There were beers and finely presented cocktails as well, which we really enjoyed. We were seeing people in the café/restaurant & bar who were not staying at the hotel and it turns out that it is open to non-hotel customers as well.

GGuest UserAmazing place , however they were not helpful in allowing me to check in to my room even one hour early. They insisted I wait until 3 pm and then one back. The lobby area is basically outside and it was raining,,I basically froze to death while the front desk people insisted that I could not check into my pre-paid room until 3 pm sharp. I sat there for two hours quite chilly and damp, and had to sit at their outdoor restaurant (very slow and poor service) and order and expensive lunch because they would not let me in a little early. The place was not crowded either. Therefore my first impression was poor.

AAna BalcarSparkling clean. Easy access to transportation and also walk arounds if your plan is just go to eat or have a drink. Located above of Laureles area which makes it great to find night plans in a safe area. I highly recommend it, If you ate too sensitive to noises, just ask for a not exterior side, and high floor, it really worked for me. Curious thing, I loved the smell of everything new in there, cuz it’s literally a new Hotel that recently opened in that area 😃 You will not regret your stay; staff were very very nice too :)

GGuest UserWe stayed at the hotel for three days. I specifically was looking for a hotel with a gym and our travel agent said this was the best place. -The check in process was very slow as they don’t have enough people at the front desk. -Our room was nice, but they only provide shampoo and soap. When I asked for body lotion, as most other hotels of this rating provide, I was told no. - Calling to the front desk results in no one answering the phone, thus I had to go downstairs several times to ask questions. -The gym itself is old and disgusting. Overlooking the pool deck is the cardio area. They had 1 of 3 treadmills working, ellipticals with no power, and spin bikes that were extremely rusted and hard to adjust for fit. The weight room floor is also filthy and I don’t think it was cleaned the entire time we were there. The weight and machines are all rusted. For dumbbells there was one set of 10s, 1 twenty and the rest were over 30 lbs. Some of the dumbbells were coming apart creating a dangerous situation of a weight slipping off and dropping on your head or foot. -We had breakfast included and the food and service were good. However, We ordered room service one evening for dinner and the food arrived after an hour and a half. It was cold and tasted horribly. - they have motion sensors in the hallway to conserve energy, which is good. However the don’t often work and several times I got off the elevator and had to navigate a pitch black hallway to my room. I would never recommend this hotel. It claims to be 4 star but it is in disguise with a fancy lobby.

GGuest UserThis is my second stay at this property. I really enjoyed my first stay and though this could be somewhere that I could book for longer than a week. I booked a double room last time and enjoyed my stay this time I booked a single room but would not return. The single room is a lot smaller than the double and I paid the same price as last time so value for money for this was not so great. View is great, amenities good, no AC and it gets hot in the room. Decent breakfast and friendly staff. The big issue for me on the last 2 nights was a club down the street playing music so loud that I could feel the bass 10 floors up and this went on until 4am. This was Monday and Tuesday night! So hot room as can’t open the window with the music, fan on full, white noise from tv at full volume and ear plugs is not what I’m looking for. I could not return if the bar continues like that. Previous stay no issues, first 5 nights no issues, but this is a big problem for me. I am so thankful I didn’t book the month I was contemplating and left after a week. A double room without the noise at the right price I would return.

GGuest UserChecked in to room 106, wifi signal does not reach the room, was changed to room 102, right next to the lobby. Walls were thin and hear everything from guests walking by to conversations in the lobby. It was tolerable until night time, a young female receptionist had 3 male friends visit her during her shift, that's fine just that I could hear everything. Their conversation began to disturb my stay. I walk out and see a group talking socially in front lobby, the receptionist and her male friends/visitors, when I return to my room, the conversation stopped 10 min later. As thin as the walls were, guests were rather respectful as I surprisingly slept like a baby.

They claim to speak English but not a word or it. I arrived at the hotel at 9:00pm after a All day flight, they gave me a room with NO WINDOWS and a broken air conditioning ( but they don't speak English and I don't speak spanish to explain to them ) People screaming in the hallways non stop until 4:30 am. No respect at ALL for others. Located in a verry verry loud street with a lot or creaps roaming around ( so don't expect to feel safe if you're a sole traveler or travel with kids! Beds feels like you're sleeping on the floor with a blanket under you. Rooms are super clean, and the front desk is guarded but that's the only positive point I found. I don't know how im gonna be able to stay here for the entire 8 nights stay I booked, if I don't get a refund. If you are here to party and plan to get drunk and don't care about bothering poeple when you get to you room at 4am .. .then this is the spot for you!
