The Magazine Vista Hotel in Penang is more cost-effective. When choosing this hotel, I consulted for a long time, such as booking (more reviews, good or bad), Ctrip (only a simple review). Because it only opened in 2018, the hardware is very new, and the hygiene is good. I especially like to have a washing machine, but I have to find a place to dry the clothes indoors. The location of the apartment is very good. On the left is the GAMA supermarket, and on the right is the landmark of Everbright. Fruits and snacks have their own favorites! Call the front desk before arriving at the hotel, because the front desk is not here, so call in advance and the hotel will send staff to wait at the door. When you call, you need to speak English. There is a Chinese-speaking waiter. India borrowed ”Di Li” (transliteration)-Figure 6 this one. If you call him, you will have no difficulty in communication. He will come to collect a tax of MYR 10 per night, introduce room facilities, and even help you set up a taxi app on your phone. The network is poor and it can't be connected for a few days, so it is important to buy a local phone card. On the second floor facing the street, the noise of motorcycles on the street is loud, which will affect the rest. These problems are not big, this hotel is worth recommending.

This is a newly opened hotel. The rooms are very comfortable and clean, very quiet, and free parking at the door. The most important thing is that the boss is very nice, very enthusiastic and speaks Chinese! The location is also top-notch, it is easy to find, and there is a big night market at the door. A quaint hotel recently refurbished so the amenities are quite good in a location that has many restaurants but unfortunately has a night market beside it with quite loud music to late at night, I would especially avoid the rooms at the back. The staff were perfunctory. there is a ”no shoes” policy so beware that you have flights of stairs polished wooden floors. The rooms are small so you have to be judicious in unpacking and arranging your items. Water filter on the first floor is a great asset with hot and cold water.

Have stayed at many shared rooms in my years of travel, but this place has to be my favourite so far. Apart from the pretty interior aesthetics, the staff here are some of the friendliest people you will meet in Penang. Special shout-out especially to Peter and Pauline who are more than happy to take care of whatever needs you would have, even if it is just a casual conversation with you while you are sitting along the common corridor. Was also lucky enough to have very friendly roommates, with whom I had a lot of funny and chill times chatting late into the night, despire my short stay there. This hotel has everything which is needed to facilitate a relaxing and wholesome atmosphere to facilitate new friendships and stories to be shared between travellers, before we each move on the our next destination. Will definitely be back again should I find myself travelling solo in Penang in future, and hope to relive similar experiences which make solo travelling and staying shared rooms so fun in the first place, and of course to catch with Peter and Pauline again. Good place to stay ..near to city
