PureJoy Hotel Langkawi

Clean and tidy, great service, excellent location, and no strange smells – truly fantastic! The bathroom is a decent size, and from the balcony, I could see my car just by pulling back the curtains. The most unique thing was the hangers; unlike other hotels, clothes hung on them don't touch the wall, which feels much cleaner.

The front desk offering earplugs was a dead giveaway that noise would be a major issue. The floors are thin, so closing doors sounds like firecrackers going off. The renovation smell is incredibly strong, and there are stray animals by the entrance.

This hotel I booked in Langkawi is located about 1km from Kuah Town center. Many shops nearby were closed, I'm not sure if it's because it's the off-season or if Langkawi has declined over the past few years. The hotel cost over 200 a night and is new, but the facilities are a bit like a budget chain hotel with a pool. There were a lot of dusty corners in the hallways, but the room itself was quite clean. There are many breakfast spots and seafood restaurants around. It's also next to an elementary school, which makes the area feel safe. Overall, considering the very nice pool and the reasonable price of just over 200, I'm generally satisfied.

I stayed for two nights and three days. All the taxi drivers mentioned it was a new hotel. The facilities and views were excellent, but I felt the cleaning wasn't quite up to par. There were dozens of small ants on my bed, and I occasionally found strands of hair. I suppose it's fine if you don't mind these things. However, all the hotel staff were very kind, and the pool, free washing machines, and dryers were fantastic. I'd recommend it, as there's a small mall, duty-free shops, and great restaurants all within walking distance.

The front desk staff were lovely, the room was spotless, and they were always quick to provide anything we needed. The room's layout was comfortable, the location was great, and it felt very relaxing.

Excellent. Comfortable. Suitable for families. Close to the city. My only request for next time is to provide prayer mats and indicate the Qibla direction. Otherwise, very satisfied.
