I was initially quite concerned about the hotel's safety and hygiene, but after staying, I found it to be pretty good. It seems to be mostly occupied by foreign tourists. First off, the location is fantastic – just one street away from Cenang Beach. This main street is very lively, with plenty of convenience stores, restaurants, travel agencies, and bars. Cenang Mall is also only about 200-300 meters away. Facilities: No disposable toothbrushes, small towels, or slippers are provided, but there's a hairdryer, hangers, and a safe. The air conditioning works well and isn't too noisy. Hygiene: The bath towels are a bit old, but the bedding is relatively clean, and they change the bath towels daily. Service: The front desk staff communicate well in English. They require a 50RM deposit and provide a receipt.

The location is excellent, and all the staff are friendly. We stayed here for 5 days, and the pool was clean. It's only a 5-minute walk to the beach. All the shops and a shopping mall are nearby. The only thing we didn't like was the breakfast; it was very poor. By the third day, we were tired of fried eggs, and there was nothing else to eat. It was difficult to feed our child. There were no vegetables at all, and only oranges for fruit. The eggs were only fried and often cold. Plus, there was rice and spicy vermicelli, tea, coffee, muesli with milk, and muffins, and that was the entire selection. It would have been great if they had offered pancakes or crepes for variety, or at least other egg options like boiled eggs and omelets, not just fried. However, the view from the restaurant was magnificent. Overall, I recommend this hotel! 👍

The room was spacious, directly facing the sea. There were plenty of restaurants and duty-free shops nearby, making dining and shopping very convenient. Whenever we had an issue, the staff were very enthusiastic and helpful in resolving it. I would definitely stay here again! 👍

This stay was such a pleasant surprise! The location is absolutely unbeatable – just cross the street and you're at the beach, making it super convenient for ocean views. The room was cleaned thoroughly every day and remained spotless during our entire stay. They also proactively replenished our drinking water, and on our last day, they even gave us six bottles, worried we had a long journey ahead – so thoughtful! Downstairs, there are breakfast spots and various small shops, making it really easy to grab food or buy anything you need. The air conditioner had a slight leak, but that's understandable given the high humidity by the sea, and it didn't impact our experience at all. For this price, to get such service, I'm truly satisfied. Five stars to the staff!

Overall it was a very nice stay . Location was ideal. Basic amenities were present and price is very reasonable. It's close to cenang beach and main shopping area. Views from rooftop breakfast restaurant were spectacular. Washroom needs a little improvement.

Hotel is situated conveniently close to the beach but across the road. The swimming pool is quite pleasant; small but clean and there are a few sunbeds but no shades. The first room I was given (5th floor even number) smelt musty. I requested a different room next door to my friend and this worked out better (twin room instead of a double) as it was a connecting room. The reception staff were very helpful and pleasant. Beds were very comfortable. Shower was quite strong and as hot as you wanted. Despite being on the roadside it was not noisy. Photos are from the roof top restaurant that serves breakfast. However there are cheaper options close by.

Very Disappointing Stay – Not Recommended I had a very disappointing experience during my recent stay at Royal Agate Beach Resort. The room quality was extremely poor and not at all up to the mark. Basic services were lacking — staff support was almost non-existent and unresponsive. The breakfast menu was very limited and repetitive, with the exact same items served for three consecutive days, and even then, the food was not hot. Staff at the restaurant were rude and inflexible when asked for basic service. Room service was a complete letdown. Despite ordering, we were told we had to come up to the restaurant to eat — which defeats the purpose of offering room service in the first place. I honestly don't understand how this hotel has received so many positive reviews — perhaps they are outdated or misleading. I booked this hotel expecting a comfortable family stay, but it turned out to be a very poor experience. I strongly do not recommend this hotel for families or even individual travelers. Save your money and peace of mind — choose another place.
