Berjaya Langkawi Resort

We loved staying here. The tree chalets were just perfect. A decent size room with plenty of storage space and the little balcony was great for playing games. We were given umbrellas to use as it rained a lot and they offer a shuttle service to get around the resort. The resort is huge and offers so much, like live music, fire shows, water activities. Breakfast was fantastic with a huge range of meals. The beach is private and have the perfect little shelters that are usable even when it’s raining. Malaysian, western, Thai and Chinese restaurants to choose from. The pictures shown are just like what you get. The sound of all the wildlife around was beautiful. The pool has a swim up bar but the water was freezing. We ended up swimming at the beach as it was warmer. It is walking distance to the SkyBridge and. Cable cars which you can see from the resort. Absolutely perfect and we would definitely go back again.

Stunning resort – but a few fixes would make it perfect --- I stayed at the Berjaya Hotel for 3 nights and ended up extending my stay – that alone says everything about how much I loved this place. It truly deserves its 5-star reputation. The positives: · The private beach is absolutely gorgeous. · The pool is large, pleasant, and very well maintained – crystal clean. · We stayed in a chalet facing the sea, and it was simply wonderful – waking up to that view every morning was unforgettable. · The international breakfast buffet is rich and generous. · The staff throughout the hotel are helpful and welcoming. · The 24-hour buggy service is a great idea for getting around the resort. · The SkyCab is nearby, with a free shuttle to the station (one-way). · Plenty of restaurants to choose from, live jazz every evening for 1–2 hours, and an amazing fire show on the beach every Friday and Saturday. Now, a few areas that need attention: --- 🔴 1. Inappropriate swimwear in the pool I was shocked to see several guests swimming in regular clothes and T-shirts – not proper swimwear. Worse, I witnessed a guest actually scrubbing his T-shirt inside the pool to clean it. This is unhygienic and can pollute the water. 👉 There should be a clear rule requiring proper swimwear, and staff should enforce it. A simple sign at the entrance would help. --- 🔴 2. Buggy service issue – broken promise The resort offers a buggy shuttle to the SkyCab station, but the return is not officially provided. However, we were told by a driver that a buggy would drop off a group at 4 PM and that we could return with it. Since we were a family of 4 and there was no space left, he promised to come back for us. He never did. We waited in vain under the scorching heat, with a child, and eventually had to walk back uphill – which was exhausting and uncomfortable. 👉 If the return service is not guaranteed, just say so clearly. Don't make promises you can't keep. This was very disappointing. --- 🔴 3. Dessert variety Both at breakfast and dinner, the dessert options were quite limited and lacked creativity. A bit more variety would elevate the dining experience. --- Final word: Despite these issues, my overall stay was wonderful. The resort is beautiful, the setting is magical, and I would still recommend it – but I truly hope management listens to this feedback, especially regarding pool rules and the buggy service. We came for 3 nights and stayed longer – that says a lot. With a few adjustments, this place would be absolutely perfect.
