Sheraton Lanzhou Anning

The hotel's decor and amenities are excellent, with a fresh and modern style. The rooms are clean and tidy. We arrived a bit early and our room wasn't ready, so we were upgraded to an executive room, which offered great space and views. The only minor drawback was not being notified promptly when the room cleaning was finished; there's room for improvement in service details. Also, the surrounding area isn't very developed, with limited options for dining and shopping. I'd recommend planning transportation in advance, like taking a taxi. Overall, the hardware is commendable. If the service becomes more refined and the surrounding facilities improve, the experience would be even better.

My stay at the Sheraton Lanzhou Zhongbang was fantastic. It's a very new hotel with excellent quality facilities. The room was spacious and clean, and from the high floor, you can enjoy distant views of the Yellow River. The soundproofing was great. Subway access is very convenient, and there's a shopping mall nearby downstairs. The front desk service was efficient and thoughtful, and the pool and gym facilities are comprehensive. It's perfect whether you're traveling for leisure, on a layover, or with family. I highly recommend it for anyone visiting Lanzhou.

I came for Xiao Qi Ge's concert in Lanzhou and stayed at the same hotel as him, which was great! I got to see him many times. The hotel service was excellent, and the breakfast was abundant and delicious!

This time, I stayed at the Sheraton with my wife and child, and I encountered two serious issues: The room's hygiene was severely subpar. Housekeeping was negligent, and I found cigarette butts at the bottom of the bathtub. I contacted the front desk to have someone clean it, but after waiting 20 minutes, no staff member showed up. The service response was extremely slow, and daily service efficiency was low. The front desk staff treated Chinese and foreign guests differently, showing obvious bias. When we checked in with multiple pieces of luggage, no one offered assistance. However, when foreign guests checked in, staff members proactively helped them with their luggage. This double standard service was very uncomfortable. A five-star hotel should treat all guests equally and strictly adhere to hygiene standards. This particular branch has lax hygiene control and distorted employee service attitudes, which severely damaged our stay experience. We demand a reasonable explanation and a rectification plan from the hotel.

This trip was with my kids and parents. We've stayed in family-themed rooms in Sanya and Qingdao before, and I feel that this Sheraton's family theme could use an upgrade. First, I had already booked online with post-departure payment, but upon arrival at the front desk, I was asked for a deposit. Other five-star hotels I've stayed at don't require this. Second, in the themed room, there were only two drinks and water. Other hotels usually provide fruit. Third, there was a tent playhouse with building blocks in the room (I didn't get a picture). When my child played with it, the buckle connections kept coming apart. The Grand Hyatt Sanya Haitang Bay has a kids' water park and a children's pool. The Qingdao Seaview Garden Hotel has two playgrounds on the lower level, one for young children and one for older children. Both of those hotels also offered daily children's activities that could be booked. The Lanzhou Sheraton has none of these; they only have three themed rooms that are just simply decorated. Fourth, my room upgrade benefit wasn't utilized. Since I was with my parents and child (four of us in total), we chose a themed room. The reservation stated that an extra bed could be added. The front desk said my room upgrade couldn't be used because it was already a themed room. I asked if an extra bed could be provided free of charge, and they said no, only a discount on the 260 RMB extra bed fee. What's the point of my member benefits then? Fifth, the photos show a river view room. The first picture is the river view from our room, which looks very different from what's shown on the homepage. In summary, compared to other five-star hotels, the Lanzhou Sheraton didn't provide the pleasant experience I had imagined.

The room facilities are fantastic and smart, truly one of the few hotels I've stayed at that I'm genuinely willing to review. The service is also impeccable, leaving me with no worries. The breakfast ramen is an absolute standout, though it was quite busy during breakfast this time with a bit of a long queue. Thumbs up! I'll definitely be staying here for all my future business trips to Lanzhou.

True to its new build, the hotel is very modern with excellent facilities, and all rooms are spacious. I had requested a high-floor room when booking, and upon check-in, I was indeed given a room on the 38th floor, offering a great view of the Yellow River in the distance. When checking in, I asked the front desk for a small camel souvenir, and they happily provided it. Since I had to wait two hours for the room, they also offered complimentary drinks after I checked in. The breakfast was extensive and met five-star standards. The busiest station was the beef noodle counter, where there was a queue, but it moved quite quickly. I couldn't try all the breakfast items even after two days. This will definitely be my top choice when I visit Lanzhou again.

The hotel's location is excellent; the subway Line 1 entrance is right outside, and you can access the subway station directly from the hotel's basement. Wuyue Plaza is across the street, so you'll have no trouble finding food and drinks. The hotel itself is quite luxurious, with a magnificent lobby and polite and accommodating front desk staff. The rooms are clean and tidy, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering stunning views. I booked a room without breakfast, but the front desk noticed I had a child and kindly offered us two complimentary breakfasts, which truly warmed our hearts. If I ever come to Lanzhou again, I'll definitely choose this hotel.

Facilities: Five stars, very complete. Cleanliness: Five stars. Environment: The hotel's internal environment is excellent and very quiet. Service: Very attentive. The doorman helped open the car door and carried the luggage. There were welcome fruits at the check-in counter. Next time I visit, I will definitely stay here again!
