Atour Hotel (Lanzhou Xiguan Zhangye Road Pedestrian Street)

The location is absolutely unbeatable, right in the heart of Xiguan. It's just a short walk to Zhangye Road Pedestrian Street and Dazhong Alley, and Zhongshan Bridge is also very close, making it super convenient for getting around and finding food. The hotel is located inside an office building, so the common areas and elevators of the building are managed by the property management. Be prepared for longer elevator waiting times. Inside the room, the cleanliness meets standards, the bedding is comfortable, and the hot water supply is stable. The self-service laundry and dryer are a great convenience for travelers. Being able to have Lanzhou beef noodles for breakfast is a huge plus. However, due to the inherent structure of the building, soundproofing is just average, and you can occasionally hear noises from the hallway and neighboring rooms. The overall hardware is up to Atour's standards, but the building's environment somewhat diminishes the experience, making it noticeably different from a newly built Atour hotel. I was quite satisfied with the front desk service. If parking convenience is a major priority for you, I'd suggest considering other options. But if location is your main concern, this place is a good choice.

The worst Atour I've ever stayed in. 1. The ground floor entrance feels really spooky at night. 2. The room was incredibly cramped, dim, and depressing. 3. The shower pressure was very weak. 4. This is the first Atour I've stayed at that didn't have a mini-fridge in the room. 5. The soundproofing in the room was unbelievably bad; I was woken up at 8 AM by people walking and talking in the hallway, and the sound of glasses clinking in the next room.

The hotel is located diagonally opposite the Asia-Europe Mall, quite close to the pedestrian street and Zhongshan Bridge. However, it's not a standalone building; it's in a tall building with several hotels, and Atour occupies floors 16-19. The service is excellent, but the room facilities are pretty basic and generally simple. The room lighting isn't bright enough, and the sink light not having a separate switch is a rather inconvenient design. The value for money is just so-so. Besides the good location and great service, there's not much else to write home about. There were even hairs on the toilet when I checked in, probably because they rushed the cleaning due to a quick check-in.

The room was pretty good, especially the bedding, which was very comfortable to sleep in. The facilities are a bit old, but the hygiene was acceptable. The location is quite convenient, close to the subway, and there are good places to explore nearby. However, the building the hotel is in is very old, and the front desk isn't on the ground floor, which made it feel a bit low-end every time I returned to the hotel.

I stayed at Atour Hotels in Xining and Lanzhou during this trip, and this Atour wasn't as good as the one in Xining, probably because it's older. First of all, it's located within a building where Atour occupies a few floors, while other hotels are on different floors, which felt a bit odd. The lobby on the ground floor was in very poor condition. The front desk staff's attitude was mediocre; they didn't smile at all. When I asked about nearby attractions, they just told us to look at a map ourselves and only seemed interested in pushing membership cards. My first impression was quite poor, and it lowered Atour's standards. The room cleaning maintained Atour's usual standard, which was good. However, the facilities and furniture were a bit old. I had to ask three times for extra drinking water before it was brought up, but the room service attendant's attitude was still acceptable. The location is fairly convenient, but it still takes about a 15 to 20-minute walk to get to Zhongshan Bridge.

The hotel was clean and hygienic. The location is very convenient, right next to Zhangye Road and Zhongshan Road, and all the must-try restaurants I planned to visit were nearby. Atour Hotels always provide a great stay, with comfort evident in the small details. For two adults and one child, they proactively offered a complimentary breakfast for the child, and the breakfast itself was also very good.
