Shangri-La Mactan, Cebu

The common areas and beach environment are nice, but the room facilities are a bit old and the soundproofing is very poor. However, the service is quite good compared to other local hotels.

Shangri-La Mactan, Cebu, despite being an older hotel, is still absolutely fantastic. For me, the 'soft' aspects of a hotel, especially the staff's attitude, are more important than the 'hard' facilities, and Shangri-La Mactan truly delivers on that front!

The room decor feels quite dated, with the bathroom and various furnishings showing their age and a slight musty smell. The air conditioning automatically turns off when the balcony door is opened. The external environment is relatively good, with a park and a beach available. The pool is also well-designed, helping to distribute people. There's a 'naughty bag' (play area) suitable for different age groups of children, which requires a fee, though hotel guests receive a discounted rate. Breakfast gets very crowded, so expect to queue. Overall, it's suitable for a family vacation. However, if you have high expectations for the accommodation experience, you might want to choose a newer hotel.

The spacious pool, delicious breakfast, and various activities were all fantastic, and the staff were incredibly kind. I'm very satisfied and would love to visit again.

Shangri-La really is quite good. Breakfast was a bit crowded, so we had to wait for a table, but the atmosphere was nice, and the room was well-maintained. It's especially great for kids; they didn't want to leave! It's a shame we only stayed one day at Shangri-La. And the service was truly excellent; we ran into a staff member in the hallway who proactively asked for our room number and offered directions.

The absolute highlight of this hotel is definitely the view. The room facilities are pretty standard, as it's an older hotel. The kids absolutely loved the pool area, especially the slide. In the afternoon, when the tide went out, we could go to the beach and collect starfish, and we saw so many fish! It's a shame we only stayed one night; we'd love to go back again if we get the chance!

This is my fourth stay here. No matter when I visit, how many times I visit, whether I come with family, friends, or alone, I always receive excellent service. I'm always grateful for the perfect service from all the staff.
