C Suites at Mactan Newtown

The hotel has an excellent location. The room is a spacious apartment with a kitchen, living room, bedroom, bathroom, and toilet. It's a decent building, and the lady at the reception was wonderful. We left our luggage at the storage because we were leaving very early for an excursion, and everything went smoothly without any problems. Now for the downsides: on the ground floor of the building, there's a grocery store where we saw quite a few cockroaches. It's highly likely that the cockroaches in our room came from there, probably carried into the building by residents from the store. I counted 5 small cockroaches in the apartment during the evening. Also, the bed linen wasn't changed before our arrival; it was all wrinkled as if someone had slept on it, and I found hair and eyelashes on it. We had to sleep on top of the duvet without making the bed because we checked in late and had to get up very early for our excursion, so there was no time to sort out the bedding issue with the hotel staff. Overall, if they would update the towels (they are no longer white from age), set up cockroach traps, and of course, change the bed linen after every guest, this would be a decent place for its price. But for now, because of the dirty bed linen situation, I'm quite upset.

Great location, but the cleanliness is a bit lacking with quite a few small bugs. The facilities are just average; the air conditioning leaks. It's very convenient for getting around, and there's a supermarket, Watsons, and Starbucks downstairs. There's also a pool.

Traveling with friends? It's quite convenient for two families to have breakfast and go shopping right across the street.
