The afternoon we checked in, I discovered a "wad" of hair (human) in the desk chair; it looked like someone had cut off a ponytail and left it there....where was Housekeeping? Then the next day I woke up with what I thought were mosquito bites. It turns out that the prior people using the room had a dog (or dogs?) and the room was never sanitized so I ended up with flea bites. Big deal...they comped us one of the 2 nights we stayed there. DON'T EVER STAY HERE IF THIS IS THEIR IDEA OF HOUSEKEEPING.

Hotel was clean and easy to navigate. Hotel staff were friendly, helpful and pleasant with questions (Thank you Dennis for dinner recommendations, it was excellent). I work out and the gym was suitably equipped with several cardio options and more dumbbells than most places. Breakfast was very good, with good selection, as well as clean and well maintained. Most of my trips are to Miami, Orlando or Pensacola, I don't get to visit Tampa often, but would certainly stay again and recommend.

Would stay here again
We come down and stay here every few months from Jacksonville, Fl due to me needing to see my doctors at the local hospital. We choose to stay at this place due to cleanliness and awesome staff. We love the comfort of the beds, good choice of food for breakfast, and friendly staff. This past trip the room was less than the cleanliness we have received past trips. The hotel staff was notified and were going to receive service the next day but we had leave. Would stay here again next time.

Fine
Requests for extra pillows were granted. However, the room was not cleaned/restocked during the day. When I called, granted it was late, I had to go get more towels because there was only 1 person working. Parts of the hallway smelled like BO. On the flip side, the bed was comfortable, and the common areas seemed clean.
