We stayed for one night with our little Cocker Spaniel - Nellie. They couldn't have been nicer and more helpful. Lovely beer garden and bar area - bedroom was comfortable. The breakfast was great as was the doggy sausage!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Woodhouse. We were lucky with the weather so could sit out on our balcony and enjoy the views. We had a four poster in our room which was extremely comfortable and absolutely huge ! We didn't have breakfast as neither of us eat early in the day but enjoyed a steak dinner which was very tasty. The Woodhouse seems to be the only hotel now on the front at Largs, one we stayed at previously is just a wedding venue now and any others that were there have been knocked down and replaced with flats. It is situated along past the Vikingar experience and is roughly 10 minutes or so from town. There are plenty seats along the way however and lovely views.

Pleasant, helpful staff. Very tidy and clean hotel. Had breakfast, lovely food, plenty to fill you up. Ideal location near waterfront. Parking available. Reasonably priced. Will use again.

Our experience was great for a last minute thing. I would say we usually stay in a big chain but have decided for last 2 year to start giving to small businesses. Our host wullie was great. The gardens were beautiful although bit noisy with unruly kids but didn't ruin our day. The rooms are basic and we had no room to move . Sofa bed pretty uncomfortable if we are honest so we just shared the bed which was so comfortable. We had a very tight access to the balcony which wasn't great but again we coped. I'm going to say if you are bigger than a size 14 the toilets tight. We managed just fine. Maybe updated bit but considering we booked day before . The location was perfect and all in all we have a real calm experience so just what we needed. I would definitely stay again as I've pointed out couple things but that's my opinion. Our wee getaway was absolutely amazing. Beds as I said are so comfy but sofa bed not so much. But in this current climate I get it. Thanks to all staff. Suzanne

We stayed at The Woodhouse Hotel in Largs for one night and had a wonderful experience. Our room was the four-poster bedroom with a balcony, which really made the stay feel special. The room was spacious, comfortable and beautifully presented, with the four-poster bed adding a lot of charm. The balcony was a great bonus, with a partial sea view, perfect for relaxing. The ensuite bathroom was spotless, and the towels provided felt either brand new or of excellent quality, which was a lovely touch. When we arrived, the room was a little cool for our liking, but a portable radiator was provided, and once we switched it on the room warmed up quickly and was comfortable for the rest of our stay. The two members of staff we met were incredibly friendly and welcoming, immediately making us feel at ease and adding to the overall experience. We stayed here because we were running the Largs Prom parkrun the following morning, and the location couldn’t have been better — the start is literally just around the corner (about a 3-minute walk). A great choice for a short break or a parkrun weekend. We’d happily stay again.
