The STRAT Hotel, Casino & Tower Reviews

The price was great, and I was happy with the facilities and environment. However, the staff left a lot to be desired. The front desk person who checked me in was quite aloof. Also, I left my lighter and cigarettes in the smoking area on the first floor and they were gone when I went back for them. The lost and found seems to be useless. Later that night, I wanted to buy a lighter from a gas station about 200 meters from the hotel, but I saw a homeless person there whose head was severely infected and they seemed disoriented. I was concerned for my safety, so I gave up on buying the lighter and returned to the hotel. Just wanted to share my experience for reference.

the iconic, (in)famous stratosphere tower and hotel is the biggest sightseeing location in north las vegas. the surrounding area looks a bit run down, but you still have a dennys, ihop, 7eleven and a few stripclubs close by. as for the hotel itself, we stayed in the "renovated" new tower but it was already in pretty worn down condition. the linnen and sheets were clean at least. no good breakfast or dining options, disappointing to say the least, especially the steak in the top of the world restaurant. the view op top was great though. the only casino resort with a mcdonalds inside, so late night junkfood cravings can be met.

Not the Ritz but perfect if you just need to sleep. They bait people with low prices then hit them with daily resort fees. I recommend to bring your own pillows if stains bother you. Also use sandals while showering. Had to change rooms 3 times due to sewage smell coming from the drainage pipes when showering in central tower room 15065, no working ice machine on either side, air conditioning was barely working. When they moved me to C18068 the next day the air conditioning was not able to turn on and the front desk moved me once again. Supposably this is their “newly renovated” building yet the headboards are scuffed up, wallpaper coming apart, and holes in their pillows along with stains. Other than that the staff are good and kind hearted. I can’t blame them for the building falling apart. The resort fees are the real scam. If you check in on a weekday for one day you’d only get like 2 hours to use the pool before they close and that’s assuming that it’s open. Not everyone uses the gym either or the other “amenities” just to keep in mind when booking. As they say, you get what you pay for. If you stay on Tuesday and Wednesday every restaurant is closed at the Strat. Don’t advise anyone to walk around at night, it’s not Mr.Rodger’s neighborhood around here.

The room was small. There were a lot of Black people in the hotel, which wasn't great. It's an old hotel and the parking fee of $23 per night is quite expensive, plus it was hot.

The air conditioning is quite old. You have to manually set it around 70 degrees, otherwise, at lower temperatures, it gets really noisy and the temperature fluctuates a lot. Everything else was great.

Good place to stay. Little bit away from main strip, but it is in the strip.Have DEUCE Bus run along strip.Overall 4/5

The sink was clogged and the room was a bit older. The location is also a bit far out of the way but still good value for the cost.

Thru Trip.com, we decided to book this hotel for the cheaper price as we only need to stay a short while - arriving late at night and leaving early in the morning. It's a bit confusing the info : This is a property, not a hotel? It says must inform the hotel if late arrival so we did but there was no reply or acknowledgement to know if there's a special procedure to check in ; for eg, they have to give you a special code or arrangement for late check in. The next letter to us was weird!!? It says check in instructions as follows but nothing, it's blank...... See photos of their replies. So we were concerned - our situation, pls see photo. But there's no reply in the Message Chat. These left us very worried and anxious. In the end, we had to keep calling this no and that no given by Trip.com, knowing that we will be kept waiting in line. Even when arrived at the airport, we kept calling. Seems one of the phone no is wrong? Trip.com, pls check with the hotel or person in charge. As for the room amenities, they are quite bare - no fridge, no kettle, no drinking water (you have to drink from the tap) in the room. Bath water was not hot when we bathed.

This hotel offers good value for money, especially during off-peak seasons. It's missing a coffee machine with a kettle function. Also, checking out can be error-prone; their system seems to have some issues and needs an update.

In Vegas, quite a lot of huge hotel which is very tiring to walk from lobby to your room, but Strat is very reasonable spaced hotel, not huge, it’s the best size I believe. As I was visiting exhibition in LVCC, it’s still walking distance, so I will say it’s the best for LVCC visit.
