Hotels in West of The Strip, Las Vegas

My leisure,libation,fun,enjoyment and pleasure all in one place. The exotic cuisine is authentic that’s why I find it to be perfect and excellent. The service is attentive and personal at it’s best. Keep me in mind everytime you want to make a deal in your promotions and marketing. I can use a break such as freebies, discounts, comps., free play, that are worth coming back for as incentive to get me in the house to patronize your business. Make it competitive for there are others that want my business as well but not attractive enough of a proposal for me to splurge and spend my social security and pension in wholeheartedly without regret and restraint. The most important thing is that I paint the town red, go gallivanting, find pleasure and enjoyment in everything I do and not be dissapointed and discouraged or disgusted and annoyed/irritated. Make me happy, is that so much to ask ? As I know for certain that the House always wins.

Service is top notch! Amenities amazing! Staff was a pleasure to interact with! Spa massage was incredible! Pool and lazy river were clean and enjoyable!!

As normal, my reviews are usually based on how a particular hotel or restaurant rates in its class, and against similar competition. In other words, a Hampton Inn isn’t to be compared to say, a Four Seasons. And on that note; Gold Coast Hotel and ****** is not to be compared to The Palazzo, Wynn or The Bellagio, all of which are located on the strip. Located just a mile west of the strip, on W Flamingo, the location is actually better than expected. One can be on the strip in a 15-20 min walk. So, though not on the strip, it’s not as bad as some of the other comparable hotel ******s. We were in town to do a show, and needed ample parking for our trucks. So staying on the strip was out either way: That leaves a few select hotels that could accommodate us; and many of these are in rather sketchy areas. GC has a huge parking area in the rear, with easy access and multiple entries. Overall, it’s probably not as large as The Orleans, but certainly a better location in my opinion. And it’s absolutely light yrs better and much safer than the “Wild Wild West Days Inn” on Tropicana(in which I’ll say in bold text, STAY AWAY!”) The GC exterior seems the same as the day it was built: in other words, old and worn…lol. However, enter inside, and you’ll notice a much improved interior to its humble beginning. The decor still leans classic, but with a touch of modern: And overall actually, quite nice. There’s plenty of gaming, and several restaurants, including a TGIF, which I did not try, and a really good Chinese joint, which I did. The lunch menu was reasonable, and the quality was actually pretty good, if you want Chinese: And they’re open till 3am. Amenities here include a swimming pool(small), and a bowling alley. Neither of which I had time to use… Sorry Rooms: The rooms here have been updated with a fresh remodel at some point recently. A new Flatscreen tv, and a modern wardrobe add to the details. Note: I was one floor from the top, which can be tricky for battling the Vegas heat, for many hotel A/C systems. However, the unit in my room was more than adequate at keeping things chilled down(That one surprised me). The bathroom has all new tile, and a small window for some ventilation(nice touch). Water pressure was really good, but temperature wasn’t easy to adjust at first; but no deal breaker. Overall, the room was clean, modern enough, and the beds was decent for this price range. The service here was surprisingly good(I’ve read this before, and in many places, from those who have stayed at many of the Boyd properties). Everyone was extra friendly, and made the extra effort to make one feel welcomed. So, while not a Four Seasons, you’ll have no worries. Wrapping it up: Overall, this is a good choice for the money; and certainly has ample parking for big rigs, motor homes or other. We've stayed at several of their properties over the years, including this one almost 15 years ago when we got married. As others have mentioned, calling it a ”resort” might be a bit excessive, but it's a clean, quiet place to stay near enough to the strip for convenience but distant enough to avoid the noise and traffic. Our room was VERY clean and the front desk was extremely responsive to the only need we had on arrival. Big plus: no superfluous wifi fees, and no timeshare sales pitch! Climate control was a bit noisy but was very effective. The trees in the development across the fence from our room had many trees; listening to the birds over our morning caffeine was a definite plus. However... The room was rather dim and had zero ceiling lights? There was a new washer/dryer in the unit that worked well, but the closet it was placed in was too small to accommodate it so the door couldn't be closed and partially blocked the hallway. C'mon folks, take 2 minutes and just remove the door, it can't be used as a door anyway. The free wifi? Unsecured, and so slow that even Facebook had trouble loading. Ended up using our cellular data instead. The kitchen was nice, but was only stocked with enough pots/utensils/etc. for a single meal for two. We'd stay again because of the very convenient location and because there's always inventory available in the exchange pool, but if we were paying we might look elsewhere.

I actually stayed here in June of 2018 but there was no options for 2018, only went to 2021. My husband was in a horrific car accident while working in Las Vegas and was in the ICU at the hospital. I stayed here alone for two weeks until he was able to leave the hospital and we drove home. The room I had was recently remodeled and the bathroom was huge with a beautiful glass shower and a long counter space with a large mirror. I loved the bathroom. The bed was high up, super big and so comfortable. The bedding was luxurious and the comforter was top notch, very poofy and soft. The room and bathroom were spotless. There was a housekeeper there, an asian lady, and she was so sweet to me. I had told her what happened with my husband and why I was staying there. She asked how he was doing every day that I saw her and she was very caring. They have a Starbucks and a restaurant that I got dinner from every night and took up to my room. Even though I stayed there alone, I felt safe being there. There was a worker in front of the elevators that you had to show your hotel key and i.d. to before they let you get on the elevators to go up to the rooms and I was glad they were doing that. There was also a bakery there that had alot of yummy desserts to choose from. All of the workers were so polite and professional. I would definitely stay again. It was my first time staying at the Palace.

Very close to the airport. The hotel does not provide shuttle buses. There is no restaurant within 1 km, so eating is very inconvenient, which is a big problem. In addition, the non-smoking room is full of smoke, which is difficult to accept.

nice hotels are not so bad they are decently clean get a location by the strip and to eat I highly recommend this place I will stay again

I like staying at Fairfield Inns around the country as they are usually newer and have a better set up for my work/play. However, this place must be THE original Fairfield Inn when the brand started in the late 1980's. To say it needs a facelift for the rooms is an understatement. Yes, it looks pretty on the outside but you'll step back in time (like 40 years) once you get in the room. Right from the start I had a problem here as the front desk tried to charge me $15/night to park my car. This is very far from the strip and is an industrial area so there is no need for a fee. She told me ”it's due to the new football stadium next door” and could not waive it even at my Marriott status level (Gold). I then informed here there was a game the day before (Sunday) and no games were happening during my Monday - Thursday stay. When she didn't back down I told her to cancel my reservation and I would go look elsewhere. Only then did she waive the fee. Nice way to start the visit. Aside from the less than happy front desk workers who all seemed to be training, my room had some of the most wrinkled sheets/pillows I've ever seen. Thankfully I brought my own pillow. The room felt dirty, old and way beyond it's time.

The first day of the las transition hotel, owned by the Hilton Hotel, the airport has shuttle to. To other hotels, Uber is not expensive. Because the price is relatively high on weekends, the children are very happy and have an outdoor swimming pool. The most impressive thing is breakfast, the variety is quite rich, fruit sausage egg waffle yogurt, oatmeal have, and certainly can eat. Personally, it is quite good if you don't feel picky.
