Old Tale Inn

We have stayed here before. Although the room was clean, the common space needed some attention. As this is the off season in Leadville, I don't think there were many other guests and attention to some of those details may have been less than we expected.

We asked for washcloths and an additional hand towel and did not get a response from staff. We were given two towels one hand towel. Bed was squeaky and uncomfortable. No extra blankets. No housekeeping. There was a sink to wash dishes but no sponge or kitchen towel. Road noise was horrible. Windows did not lock we had bars to put in the windows. No coffee pot but there was a French press. On the last day there was no internet. We did not reach out to staff because they never answered about the towels. Would not stay there again.

Nightmare!!! We checked in online and went to the property to final lat back on our bed but our door codes that were sent on email by the property was not working and had to wait there for 30mins and no one answered our calls. We had to book another nearby hotel during midnight.Insane!!

The room looked great but there was no heat working in the room. It was in the 40s when we got there and we were not able to stay the night. After calling the number on the out side door sand leavening a message and sending a message through the ********** app with no response we left for another hotel. Our refund was denied.

The room itself was perfect. Very small but perfect for my husband and I. Queen size bed and a large bathroom with soaking tub. We stayed for 5 nights and had to call for towels, toilet paper and for the trash to be emptied. We never saw a maid or hotel staff. There was not a hotel office. Everything was electronic. Check-in and check out. The hotel looks shady from the outside but our room was quite nice. The rooms did not have a refrigerator but there was a community fridge in the walkway. The hot tub didn’t have water in it. No dressers in the rooms.

Hot tub was not filled with water, which was disappointing. You could hear noise from the rooms around you, phone conversations, etc..

Everything was great. The only issue i had was getting checked in and getting my room number and door pass code, felt like i had to jump through hoops to get it

This hotel is the perfect option for people that are looking for a hassle free stay, both check in and check out can be done online without having to go to their lobby! The room is overall very nice, but definitely has an old school charm with not many renovations done to things like the shower and heating/ AC but both still work wonderfully. Overall I would recommend staying at this hotel!

The room was nice. However there was nobody staffing the hotel. We checked in and out using a code on my Iphone
