We stayed in a 2-bedroom apartment for 4 nights in mid September, before our daughter moved in to her university accommodation. What we loved the most: - Location: Right in the heart of city centre and super close to Vodafone store and the banks, as well as great brunch spots/restaurants such as Moose, Laynes Expresso, Tattu, and Dakota Grills. It's also right next to the Banyan Bar & Kitchen at the Old Post Office. That said, it was a bit inconvenient as some Uber drivers would not pick up from the apartment entrance, and we had to walk further up the street with our luggages. - Staff were generally courteous and helpful, and gave great recommendations for restaurants. - Apartment was well-equipped. One of the few that offered AC and washer/dryer in unit. What we didn't like: - Dryer took extremely long and we had to do 2-3 cycles for clothings to be completely dry. And there was no drying rack provided. - We had a duplex unit and while it was really spacious, the staircase was quite long and steep. - The complimentary cookies provided in our kitchen were past their best before date. - Here's the biggest con: the only lift broke down before our check-in date. We had 4 huge luggages and were placed on the top floor. The apartment emailed a few days before our check-in date to offer a full refund should we decide to cancel - but since September was a peak period, there was no way we could get an alternative accommodation at short notice without breaking the bank, so we decided to keep our reservation. The counter staff did offer to help bring the luggages - but there was only one female staff at the reception so this didn't always work. We ended up having to bring some of the lugaages ourselves, and for the entire duration of our stay, we had to take the stairs everyday. While we understand the lift breakdown was unexpected, it wasn't what we had signed up for, and some degree of compensation would have been fair/appropriate. Overall, it was a good stay though I feel The Chamber Park Place (which was nearby) offers better value overall.
