Yueshe Panorama Guesthouse (Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village Scenic Viewpoint Branch)

A few days before my arrival, I requested contact by wechat through Trip.com which was more convenient and the guesthouse responded quite quickly which was reassuring and I arranged pick-up from the train station. Prior to the arrangement, the guesthouse advised of the amount I should pay for the pick-up and told them to go ahead and arrange. They sent me the driver's wechat which I added. The driver picked me up and it took us an hour to get to the scenic site. When we arrived at the main entrance of the scenic site , I was met by two staff from the guesthouse. A male and female. Both lovely! The male instantly took my luggage and the female took me to the ticketing office to buy a ticket to enter as I hadn't paid for one prior to my arrival which didn't bother me. They guided me to the public entrance so my ticket could be scanned and waited for me inside. Once inside, the female staff accompanied me on a shuttle bus for another 10 minutes up the mountain until we arrived at the village entrance. It was another 10 minutes walk up and into the village, then up the valley to the guesthouse. The guesthouse is perched up the side of the valley with a beautiful view of the river below and houses on the opposite side of the valley. At night, the lights come on in different colours with a hype of activities up and down the valley. If you follow the river upstream during daylight, you come across rice paddies and fields on the side of the mountains. The guesthouse provides a simple breakfast but what you're paying for really is the location and the views. When it was time to leave, the same two member of staff accompanied me out, the same way we came in. Got them to arrange the same driver to take me to the station. I would recommend this guesthouse for a night to experience the hype in the village but I would also add the friendliness and helpfulness of staff which made my stay pleasant. My room was well situated, very clean and the bed was so comfortable. I must also mention the female staff, Yan who was there for me from the beginning to the end of my stay. She is what customer service looks like.
